Can money change your friendship with someone

Can money affect how your friends treat you? For example if someone was to die and leave you alot of money how do you think your friends would change. Would they be happy for you or would the be jealous?

i think it can be a big factor, that money can change your relationship with your friend - it can really make them stick to you more, or even leave you when you're out of it. ibelieve any relationships that is only binded by money is not strong, and won't last long.
