Being a Brit my choices are completely different.
I adore Peter Kay, his type of humour really makes me laugh, I have actually laughed until I've cried watching him.
I also like Michael McIntyre, I doubt that American members have heard of either of these comediens.

To tell you honestly,I have never heard any of them,but I think they won't be funny,I haven't seen one funny british guy in public ;)

There are so many fine stand up comedians old and new. some think that the bolder they are the funnier they are. This is not true. Bill Cosby is a shining example of this. if i can only listen to one stand up comic again and again, i would have to choose the antics of Robin Williams. He just has that comedic spark that doesn't fade.
