Life's realities in fairy tales

A friend posted these thoughts on her social site status: Why was snow white given an apple with poison? - to show that not all people who are kind to you are really kind. Why did Cinderella run away when the clock strikes 12? - to remind us that everything has limitations: even dreams. Why did Ariel decided to change her tail into feet? - to show that anyone will try to lose anything just to be happy... So who among your friends are not true? Which among your plans/dreams has limitations? and... What are you willing to lose in order to be happy?

Hey, nice post and great insights from fairy tales! Who among my friends are not true? Well, I've forgotten about them and I stay away from them. They are not my friends anymore. I've gotten rid of the wicked witches in my life. Which of my dreams and plans have limitations? Having a child. I'm 35 and my biological clock is ticking. Like Cinderella, I have to race against time. What am I willing to lose to be happy? My freedom as a single person. I want to be with the man that I love and if it means having to give up some of the things that I enjoy now, so be it.

I agree that you need to race with time in order for you to have kids. I am 30 and I have 3 kids already. However, 35 is not yet too late. What worries me is that you sound like you haven't found your prince charming yet. Just a piece of advice, when you give up the freedom you enjoy now, make sure you will give it up to the right person.

very nice, I have just encounter this thought. To choose which friends we hold and which one to loose is one of our great privilege in life. Just like the others if I found out that any of my friends are not true I will keep away from them. My dreams has no limitations the only limitations is how far can I achieve them.
