Do you prefer writing long comments or a short one?

I've noticed this when i was commenting one of the discussions here. On the left side of the writing box it's said: "Be as descriptive as possible". Ok, but I really hate to to prolong talks. Well, I agree that it should not be said with just 2 words, but comments with more than 400-500 words I don't think anyone will read. So, guys, I want your honest answers: which type of writers/commentators are you? Not only here on Mylot, but also on others sites! Do you prefer writing long comments or short one ( 2-3 sentences)?
