There's a forum getsatisfaction at ToneAday, in case you didn't notice. Mr. Brian Cromlish is in-charge of handling queries (PRO) there. Here's what he wrote in that blog a few days ago:
Bryan Cromlish, Official Rep,
Hello everyone,
We know this is frustrating. We are currently working on a solution because the current system isn't scalable to the number of users we have (yes we are limiting new users from coming in). When I say that we are working on fixing it, that means we are looking to develop a sustainable solution for growth.
Until we figure that out, the current system we have has a couple of manual steps and thus most of the words are likely available during work hours. Thus, don't feel bad about walking away and enjoy the long weekend.
We are very aware that this "fetching words" issue comes up almost daily because now everyone is trying to get 500 words, we just don't have that many words currently going into the system!
Sorry for any inconvenience, please do not rely on ToneADay for a sustainable income. Have a great day and week!
Bryan
So, guys who were disheartened can now take strength from Bryan's words and continue visiting the site and waiting for a lucky break!
Sincerely
Suryachalla

hello suryachalla, i constantly log in everyday and i am not able to rate for a whole week because they are fetching words but yesterday i read your discussion entitled "ToneAday - A New Record !" and found that we have to hover around the site and refresh the page over and over again so i give it a try today and after refreshing 7 times (30 minutes interval for each refresh), i am shocked that all of a sudden i can rate. This happened just before i post this response! A big thank to you.
And one more, you mean this is the working time? The time when i am able to rate was around 10.10a.m. EDT but i am not sure whether this is the "work hour".
I am too glad to rate again after one week of waiting.
I hope the others can rate too!

Hi Huey,
Thanks for sharing! What you should do is join the Toneaday Forum called GetSatisfaction. At all times, there will be one PR Employee present and at least 20 or 30 members submitting new complaints or adding to the old ones. Do it.
Here are some recent PRAISES of 3 guys there!

Even last night I completed my day's quota of 500 ratings!
All the best.

Bloggeroo: yes, i agree that the time is not fixed, because i am surprised that i can rate all day long since yesterday. And i am in the same time zone with you, we are exactly 12 hours faster that edt time.
Suryachalla: Congratulation because you can rate them all. Keep it on!

The time is not fixed. Early this morning, I was surprised that ToneADay was already serving words for rating. So, even though I was still somewhat groggy, I was able to rate some words. But usually for me, ToneADay seems more available at night than during the day. Well, at least for my timezone anyway which is GMT+8 (i.e., Manila time).

I haven't even received my mail from their 1st qualification process yet. Not to mention rating so many words.

If you sit there expecting commiseration from someone, you're wrong!
Go and join their forum and complain. Log on to the site 10 times a day.
Don't expect a welcoming email.
All the best!

This is good to know. Somehow I must have missed this. I guess I need to find my way to the forum. I have been feeling rather frustrated lately because I rarely am able to rate words. I know that this site is legit though because I have been paid by them. It totally makes sense that they've been bombarded with new members and don't have enough words that need rated though. This will make me think twice before I skip a set of words now instead of rating them!

Thanks for responding.
In 1 week I struck "gold" veins 3 times, getting 500 ratings per session, which as you know, is $10! I am just $4 away from my second "redemption" (claim of my earnings)!
All the best!

Yup. I expected as much because it is fairly obvious that ToneADay is really just hiring people to rate words in their lexicon. If there is no reason to keep rating certain words and phrases, then it doesn't make sense to be paying people because that would just increase their operating costs.
That's why I'm just waiting and I'm not a bit worried. Since I already got paid once, the next payment is just extra.

The Partner of the company gave this answer in an interview:
Qn) Where did you get the idea for Lymbix?
Ans) In my previous company I was Director of Franchising and was very good at selling face to face or over the phone but I was losing deals with email. My tone was being misinterpreted as aggressive or pushy and people were walking from the sale. I thought to myself… there is a spellcheck and grammar check, so there must be a tonecheck that I can download to assist me with my perceived tone. There was no such product in the market and the need to “scratch my own itch” pushed me to build a company around the technology. I always wanted to build a company with mass market appeal and I have that with Lymbix.
Keep your faith and thanks for responding.

Thanks for sharing, Kranthi!
Why were you waiting? Why didn't you visit the site 10 times a day and send emails to "support"? Did you expect them to invite you with a "bindu" and a welcome song?
Wrong friend! I joined 2 weeks ago, got my first "redeem" of $2, and now I have already got 3 sessions of 500-raters!
Go to their forum, join up and submit your complaints! Its called "GetSatisfaction".
Don't sit there like Hamlet soliloquizing: "To be or not to be!"
All the best!

ToneAday is a subsidiary of Lymbix whose HQ: New Brunswick, Canada
My expected time for ratings is usually 7 pm by IST.
But that's not important. Register and login 5-10 times everyday.
All the best.

I am already done with toneaday..I waited for 35 days for my first level e-mail notification and payout..I wrote them note..asked in there feedback forum too but all time they asked me to wait and keep rating new words..they are smart scam and I opt not to waste my time anymore on them.

That's right, Few00cent!
Jennlk's right! In fact, I am giving below one conversation that took place 10 - 12 hours ago, in our (ToneAday) members' forum:

Finally I got my 500 quota in one sitting! although I was up until 4am :-s. I hope next time Toneaday will let me rate phrases earlier than 9pm so that I could go to be early hehehe.. good thing I was ok going to bed at 4am. I was like rating the words for 7 hours ( including the times wherein I had to refresh every 5mins for the fetching words), luckily today is regular holiday so no class! Lymbix please make it earlier next time heheh.....I’m got my 500 phrases.

Hey Everyone,
Thanks for all the positive feedback, it looks like things are headed in the right direction. Some may not have gotten to 500, but thats okay. We're getting there!
