My grandma is at the hospital right now...
Last year, she was diagnosed with ovarian cancer. After a month, we decided to let her ovary be removed from her system. Her life was extended until now that she is suffering from the complications due to her cancer cells that was stuck on her lower body organs. She's swelling because of water retention and has lots of tubes in her body. She cannot talk anymore because of the respirator.
I look up to her so much that I always say "It's better to die early than to see my loved ones suffer and die as well".. Maybe that is the reason why God gave me my own family after I graduate college, I now have a 4-month old baby and a loving husband. I want my child to be taken care of by my grandma like the way she raised me up.
My grandma is my idol in terms of raising up a child. I won't be like this if not for her. I am her first grandchild, maybe the reason why I love her so much and her impact to me was not as shallow as my cousins', though she took care of all of us.
I know that it is impossible for her to be totally cured. But still, I believe in the power of prayers. So I ask a little of your time my friend. Please pray for my grandma's recovery. even a little time to extend her life... I still need her guidance for bringing up my baby... and my baby will be celebrating his baptism a week from now. :(

Cancer is such an awful thing. I've known way too many people to get cancer of some kind. I will definitely send a prayer up there for your grandma. I hope she has a quick recovery and can spend many more years with you! *hugs* hang in there - I know this can be tough to go through seeing someone you love with cancer. Just keep praying for her!

Thanks for your reply... Responses like these really mean a lot to me because it boosts up the small hope that remains in me. I just really hope that she will still get better and would be out of the hospital as soon as possible so that she could join us in my baby's baptism...

It is sad to hear this discussion. I hope your grandma will be okey. And yes I agree with you, just believe in the power of prayers.
Prayer is communion with God. Prayer is that act of going into God’s presence to be with the Lord. Prayer is bringing God and His resources into our earthly realities. Prayer is drawing upon divine resources to influence human reality. Prayer is breathing the breath of heaven. Prayer is the master key to everything we have been called to do. Without it our activities are empty, human and lack he breath of heaven. It is temporal and will never last.
