I'm interested in creating some easy to make videos. I was wondering if anyone makes there own videos and what they use to make them..
Do you use a site or some kind of video maker? I really have now clue. I only make videos you point and shoot.. live action..
Do you need video editing software? Any help or ideas would be appreciated.
I really would like to make more videos for promoting my sites on youtube and elsewhere. but I don't know how to go about doing it.
Thanks in advance. :-)

If you haven't worked with any software before I suggest you to start with Windows Movie Maker.

The only kind of videos that I have ever made have been the photo collage type of movies and to make them I have always used One True Media. However, I don't really think this is what you have in mind. If you aren't able to come up with an affordable way to get started with the videos that you are hoping to make, this may be an option if you are able to combine that avenue with some grahic editing software.

The whole world of Graphic editing and Art is something I would love to learn.. for reasons like this and to help me create at Zazzle.. but apparently I need a class or something. I seem doomed to comprehend this stuff without someone going over it one on one.
Maybe there are some tutorial videos on youtube... I'm going to have to look..
As it is I have instructed my 17 year old brother to make sure he takes graphic art in class (and He is this semester) so that he can learn and then teach me. LOL

That is very helpful. thanks.. and I am like you.. I read everything and unless some is showing me at the same time (or I am watching a tutorial) I sometimes just don't get it.. It's all mumbo jumbo to me.. I learn best from hands on.. and watching..
I read. I love to read.. but fiction or non fiction stories.. Technical stuff, just doesn't sink in.. it's like oil and water.. it doesn't mix in my brain.. just floats on the surface... LOL

I have windows xp which I use to make video clips. Everything is spelt out there. You need to have your images or video clips which you could upload and add your own recorded voice or copy/paste music.

You can got to windows movie maker and go to their help menu and there you will find everything. I did that and now I am happily making video clips and sending them to youtube as well.

I am not big on making movies but I do take a lot of videos with my camera and upload them to my computer, there is a few times though that I have messed around with my Windows Movie Maker..this is a program that came with my laptop and is very easy to use...I would search under your programs lists to see if you have that beofre you go and buy or download anything.

I didn't make my own video, but I did shoot a video for memory by borrowing my friend's digital cam. I shoot the video, then load it to my hard drive. Then I use this easy edit for you video software to add special effects and cut and edit the unnecessary stuff. Hope this will help.

i made videos myself.. i started from windows movie maker... it is very user friendly so you dont have to read a manual to understand what your doin. then i tried searching for movie making softwares in the net. and i found cyberlink power directorr, and corel.. try downloading a free version in download.com fisrt before u buy a legit. then just search for their manuals. its available in different sites. i like the software because the vidoes can be adjusted.. the lightings, the color, the sound also., then if you want to make a slideshow u can make a picture move in differnet ways that u can imagine.. there are a lot of video and text effects that can be easily downloaded from their sites.. try it... ive earned big bucks just by using these simple and easy moviemakers.. :)

I am usually making videos on the PC screen. (I capture with Hypercam or Wegame) then edit with Windows Movie Maker. So That's why I recommend. The Windows movie maker allows you to make slideshows, put music and some other stuff.
Every computer now comes with it.
Hope I've helped!

If you really want to make good video, the first things you should consider, is your capturing device good enought or should I use something which can record in better quality? Secondly when you are shooting, make sure you have good light conditions. Shooting in too dark can be stressful when you will go to editing and realize that if you want to enhance lighting it will degrade the quality. And the third, the editing program. There is plenty of which you can choose. Like other have said, if you are absolute begginer you should use windows movie maker but kepp in mind it will never produce video of movie quality. I personaly use adobe premier with adobe after effects but this tools is very complicated to operate. Offcourse tools from adobe is used by proffesionals too and this is proof if you are experienced user you can produce realy nice movies that everyone around you will be surprised of. You can give it a try and probably learn, they have trial versions.
