Lately I watched a movie called The Legend of 1900. Since I had read many positive comments about this movie, so I was quite interested in it. After I watched it, I didn't feel very moved and this is not usual for me. I personally think this movie is so so. What do you think about this movie? And do you find a movie that many people like it but except for you?

Well, I've never seen Legend of 1900. But, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind got a lot of great reviews, and I was excited to see it, but when I did, I didn't care for it. It seemed weird and dull. And, tons of people seem to think Casablanca is a great romance, but I found the movie boring.

I haven't watched Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind yet, now I am curious about it As to Casablanca, it is a really old movie because it is even filmed black and white. So it doesn't belong to the age of my time and therefore I can't enjoy it very much.

Haven't seen the movie you mention here. The first disappointment this year for me was Alice in Wonderland, not scary, not funny, and it wasn't good enough for Burton. Then Avatar.Know better Sci-Fi and fantasy movies, I find it boring. The blue cat beasts are so primitive.Never liked Pirates of the Caribbean.

youless,
I must say that there's not many members here who had watched this movie which is understandably a not so successful movie where this $9m production only managed to rake in $259,000.
I think you need to appreciate those classic flashbacks and flash forward movies like Titanic, Oliver Twist and the likes. You just have to appreciate how today's technology can bring these historical scenes to color and live.
The movie does show the cynicism of men and real harsh realities of life. T. Lemmon who has been raised on board the ship just could not leave the ship where he grew, not even when he was presented with the opportunity to fashion a new life with a pretty immigrant girl.
In real life, I believe we are in some way like Lemmon who may be quite talented, gifted or good character but is still quite daunted by the vast size world. You cannot say that he is timid when he could brave through a song in the midst of a rolling tempest. So, like him, we are just unwilling to jump out of the well we are in to see the rest of the world.

I think the part which I don't like Titanic is that I think Rose is not faith because she has been engaged but she has relationship with Jack anyway. As to the movie The Legend of 1900, 1900 isn't timid because he could even choose to die with the ship. I just felt disappointed that he didn't get off the ship and see the outside world.

it's the other way for me.a lot of people and critics panned The Last Airbender.I actually liked it.I am not really a huge fan of the cartoon series, but I loved the movie.I found Katara really cute.I liked the costumes.

My classmates usually watched a movie (or a TV show?) when I was at university. I don't know its name, but its content is absolutely foolish. Only some clown did some silly things in the front with laughters as background. I was seriously disgusted at and confused about this. Why people like watching others do silly things?

i know, so many people keep watching it thru the decades, which is amazing and i recognize it has made a big impact in a way, but i just dont see what's so great about it. same as with LOTR in a smaller scale, but i dont get that either, is just a bunch of grown men acting sissy over a ring.

Its pathtic though because they are putting it back in theatures!! WHY???? who would want to go to the movies and pay money togo see it when they already own it on dvd!! it was not a great movie.. they give some movies more credit then they deserve.

That happens All the time. I hate, hate today's romantic comedies! What others find funny and cute , I find make me homicidal. The last time I tried a film that others liked was No Country For Old Men. It won the Oscar so I thought I should see it. Well, I tried the first few minutes and I couldn't get into it! At first I thought maybe the timing was wrong. I have tried films on one night and I didn't connect and then saw the same movie on another night and liked it!I tried it again , the Same result. Oh , well it just wasn't for me.

I absolutely hated "The Mist" but all my friends loved it so we argued about it and now every time we talk about movies someone mentions The Mist and it starts all over again.

Yes, an star wars would be one of them. I am not a fan of this franchise, and I wish that I was. I think I have seen most of them at one time or another, but just can't really get into them. I don't know why it is, just doesn't do anything for me.

People are different, and they like different things. There has never and will never be a movie made that everyone who sees it likes it.
2001 A Space Odyssey is often hailed as one of the best science fiction films of all time. And I hate it. Like, utterly hate it. I get a headache just thinking about it. But you know, I'm just one person and everyone else is entitled to their own opinions about these things.
Some other popular movies that everyone else seems to like but that I don't are Avatar and Casablanca.

I like science fiction well enough, but 2001 A Space Odyssey is just... so boring. No, worse. I think it's worse than boring. But glad I'm not the only one who feels this way.

For weeks, I had been hearing rave review for the movie Avatar. Since I'm so strapped for cash, I waited for it to become available in DVD. I had waited with so much excitement but when I finally get to watched it, I was very disappointed. I really did not agree with all the fantastic comments. Oh well, I'm entitled to my opinion right?!

I've never seen The Legend of 1900 but I have a simple rule and that is if there seems to be too many people saying a movie is great I avoid it like a plague. It happened with "Twilight", "Transformers" and "Avatar" with an almost mass hysteria surrounding the movies with many proclaiming them to be great, yet when I finally got round to watching them I thought they were average at best.

That's normal and not all movie's target market will respond to it because we have different principles and views in life that affects even when watching a movie.
