I don't know how much of a discussion this is, but I wanted to share this with my friends on mylot. Today is my brother's birthday, he would have been 43 years old today. Unfortunately, he lost his battle to cancer when he was 22 years old. There is not a day that goes by that I do not feel the loss.
My blog today is about it, if you want to read my story, and if you have one of your own you want to share:

Hi there aurorastorm
I am so sorry to hear of your loss, 22 years old is so young. My nephew also lost his life to cancer and he was only 3 and a half. I don't think you ever get over the loss of one so young be it a siblng but I can't imagine what my brother goes through every year having lost his son. I feel so lucky to have my three sons still with me and cannot even imagine what it would feel like to lose one of them.

Does your brother have any other kids. That is so sad. So hard to go through it. I feel blessed to have had my brother in my life for those years, but at times I feel like so much was taken away from me at such a young age.

God bless you to live better in life, god bless him to rest in peace, i can imagine the hurt feelings when losing someone important. Try to live better, he will watch you and smile to you in heaven.

I really do try. He would not want me to ever be unhappy, especially from mourning his loss. He would also not want me to sweat the small stuff. His attitude would be so you have money troubles who doesn't?

Although this will be hard to do, I want you to be happy and cheer. Remembering all the wonderful 22 years you were blessed with his lovely presence. It's okay to tear but smile and laugh remember the wonderful person he is to you. I say is because each day you remember him and giggle about perhaps the silly things you are keeping his memory alive and that my friend is what will truly keep you loving him as this is what he would want you to do.
So, we will both say Happy Birthday to your brother and remember he is up in heaven with best feast ever, being hugged by God and all the angels as they all rejoice this wonderful day.

Thank you so much for this. I try to do that and believe me my brother was full of life and he brought the fun wherever he was. I believe if he was in our situation, he would always find away around it. Even if he just moved to the beach and sold umbrellas he would have been happy to do so...Such a wonderful spirit my brother had.
