You get the bill at a restaurant and you notice the server charged you less than they should have do you tell them or just pay the bill as given? Has this ever happened to you?

It would depend on the situation. If everything went perfectly and there were no problems with the service, I would definitely tell the server. If there were problems with the service or the food took forever to arrive or something of that nature, I might not tell the server. I have had that happen before only to tell the server. The server told me that he did it on purpose because we had to wait so long for the food. I guess the right thing to do would always be to tell the server.

Yes, I will point it out and yes this has happened to me. If the servers manager catches their mistake they may take the extra money out of their paycheck and that would make me feel really bad. Plust thier tip is figured out of the cost of the bill so their tip would be short changed too. I could not do that to another person. They work hard for their money. Honesty is the best policy.

I have had this happen. i always tell them. Every once in awhile they will argue with me and not refigure it to the proper price. It's the same as stealing to no there is a mistake and not have them fix it.

I'm an honest person and if I notice I will let them know. I really don't want that on my conscience. If I'm going to turn to a life of crime then I'm going to do it big time. LOL Yes, many times someone has short-changed themselves and I made them aware of it. Remember; theft is theft and it doesn't go by the amount.

It depends on the restaurant. If it is a large chain then I will not mention it and put the left over money in a charity box. If the restaurant looks as though it will punish the waitress/waiter for their mistake then I'll draw their attention to it. I did this for a young waitress a few months ago as her boss looked really strict and she gave me a free coke as a thank you!

sometimes they usually forget to calculate the actual bill, so whenever i encounter such errors i ask them immediately to do the proper correction. and thats all my goodness,,
