What do you do when the dentist leaves you alone laying in the chair?

I am often left lying in a dental chair for several minutes waiting for my dentist to return. I look around and then usually nap, what do you do while sitting there in the dentists chair alone in the room for several minutes?

I have to admit, I haven't been to the dentist in a while. I am so scared of going! I am going next month though. I already paid for the visit, so I have to go! My dentist has a tv in his office, so I watch tv. I am way too nervous to sleep. I like the tv because it takes my mind of what's going on.

I pretty much do the same as you. I will look around for a few minutes until that gets too boring and then I will close my eyes and take a little snooze. Of course it is a really good time to just sit and think andy reflect about things. I really just hate sitting around doing nothing though, I get bored easily and it seems there are better things I could be doing with my time then just sitting around waiting.

I normally first smile for myself in the mirror above, then when that gets boring, I play with the tools, obviously the dentist not very happy, but I test everything next to me on the table.
