Sim card slot in Lenovo S10-3? How to use it?

Few months ago, I bought a Lenovo S10-3 netbook because of its cool and interesting features. I was excited to try the sim card slot that can be found at the back of the netbook but to my dissapoinment the netbook can't recognize any sim..why? I can't find a detailed information on how to exactly use it in the manual.
Have you experienced the same thing? Do I have to install a software for this? What connection does it support?...Could you please tell me how to exactly use it or make it functional...

First thing to do would be to check that drivers are installed correctly. Go to device manager and check there are no warning signs on anything. The sim card slot is probably designed for a 3g sim, so make sure your sim has a 3g data plan

Thank you for answering Melancholic... I have checked it, nothing unusual.. All are functioning properly. I can't still figure it out, how will I know if my sim has a 3g data plan?

excuse me ... i just bought this s10-3s .. i tried to insert a sim card on it ... but i cant take it out .......huhuhuhuuhu i used my sim card on internet ,.... i dont have internet for 3 days huhuhuhuhuhu
