Do you think Taj Mahal as the best symbol of LOVE? i think No after knowing fact

we know Taj Mahal as symbol of love but do you know.... 1.Mumtaz was Shajahans 4th wife, out of his 7 wives. 2.Shajahan killed Mumtaz's husband to marry her. 3.Mumtaz died in her 14th delivery. 4. he then married Mumtaz's sister. now the question arises what is love??

well after reading all these me too feels that its not at all the symbol of love. well you missed one another point. Shajahan took the hands of architect who made taj mahal, that was another cruel one.

the mughals loved their pride more than their wives ... !!! but its annoying that the folklore about mumtaz and her connection to tajmahal is spreaded so widely that more than 80% people believe that its the truth . anyways we dont know what happened hundreds of years ago so we start believing whatever that is passed on from one generation to another . the same coufusion is about akbar and jodha .

ya there are always confusion in the historical stories. but i asked to an historian before starting this discussion, and confirmed that its true. but its sad to here that taj is buit with the pain of many people rather than as a symbol of love

I dont think there is any confusion over Jodha, Akbar had a hindu queen who belonged to royal family of Aamer, also Jahangir who became king after Akbar was son of this Hindu queen and he to had a Hindu queen , the whole confusion was created because of some political group of Rajasthan to seek attention , but the fact remains that Akbar had a Hindu wife also Jahangir.

Hey really this is true.. because last many years i was know that Taj Mahal is the symbol of love.. and shajahans made it for Mumtaz.. because he loves her truly.. but now after reading this truth i hate to Shajahans.. because loves nothing for him.. so now i think.. it is only rumors that Taj is the symbol of love..

ya this is the very well spread rumor, to hide the pain of some people behind this great architeture. it cannot be asymbol of love but its alovely building, but there is no credit for shajahan in this.
