If a mail address is not on my white list sweetie, i just delete it. I never open them. As soon as you open one, your trouble starts. TATA.

I believe it has, or maybe I'm just paranoid. Just yesterday, I couldn't send an important email. Maybe it was due to a faulty internet connection yesterday but still...

Sweetie, change your password. Do that at least once a month. There is no other way.

hi Theresaaiza yes I got the same identical email and deleted it warned by the bad grammar that its a scam. We apologies tipped me off. I also deleted one telling my I would not be able to open my emails unless I filled out a similar outline, and again I deleted it as I saw some other poor grammar too.my email comes from four different clients so I am very careful about these spam emails.

Hello there Hatley, so I see it's not only me who's been getting these annoying spams. Do they really think we are that dumb to fall into something like that? Okay, maybe sometimes, some of them are really convincing especially maybe for people who had just started learning the art of emailing.

Same emails I received such as my account will be closed if I won't log in as others are using it, I just ignore as I don't remember signing up with them. Once you ignore them, they would just stop sending. Maybe that's one way for them to get members too, but we would think certainly, they're spam.

Let's face it. These spammers are the experts. Talk about people gifted with intelligence and they only use it for bad intentions.

I haven't gotten this one yet, but I receive several like it each week, they go straight to the scam box as far as I am concerned. But there must be some positive feed back from such junk or they wouldn't keep doing this over and over again.

I feel sorry for those innocent people who fell for this trick. It's good that we have myLot as a toll to warn people. But not everyone is here, sad to say. My dad ALMOST got fooled by a scam text saying that he won in an electronic raffle. And when asked to deposit money to this certain bank account, he almost did. It was a good thing he asked me first. He would have been the next victim.

I have received similar messages. With all the warnings for these types of scams, it amazes me that people still respond to them. There is an old saying that there is a 'sucker born every minute'. These emails must find them, otherwise there wouldn't be worth posting and sending to people. Sad, isn't it?

I haven't read nor received such email yet. And if ever I soon will, there's no doubt that I will ignore it. I'm not really that expert in using the internet and I can still say I am ignorant to most applications and how the systems work. But there's always a rule of the thumb that I follow when I'm doing something in a strange and unfamiliar territories, NEVER GIVE OUT ANY IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT YOURSELF.Especially if those information will give the recipient access to your personal file. Find out the truth behind it first. :)

We can all have a good use of that rule of thumb. Thanks eureka.

I get these types of emails, texts and letters almost daily. I am glad that I have learned the sense to immediately figure out that they are scams. Unfortunately it frightens me that so many people without forethought immediately issue the information and unfortunate gain losses. I just wished there was a way we could continue to tell the world to please safe guard all their demographic information as much as they do their lives. Thanks for posting this discussion we need to talk about this more often so people really educate themselves against all possible scams.

I agree. And I'm glad I posted this as I'm seeing a lot of people learning from our posts. Continue to be vigilant and don't hesitate to inform us of yet another suspicious email. That way we could also be warned. :)

Kind of phishing tactic, you should be more careful about this. Investigate first by searching about their domain name or related issues regarding this matter to help you clarify. Disclosing your personal information in none legitimate online transaction is risky. If not sure just ignore it.

Yes, I simply just ignored it. Well, not really. I marked it spam then I deleted it. The next time they send me something like that, it would immediately just go to my spam folder.
