Unless you were eating a TON of chocolate, it probably isn't contributing greatly to your weight gain--and if you cut out chocolate completely, you will probably develop such a craving that you might binge. And you may be trying to replace it with other sweets that look less fattening at first, but probably are much worse for you--plus, you probably need to eat more of other sweets to make up for chocolate, and the extra sugar may be putting on extra calories, increasing your blood sugar, etc. I would eat a little chocolate--preferably dark--every couple of days. It is good for you, and then you will be less tempted to "cheat" on your diet. Your mood will increase, and your energy level will probably increase too, and you should end up losing more weight than if you cut out chocolate altogether. It doesn't hurt to give it a try, anyway. Good luck!

Mm, I know how you feel! But sometimes the most caloric thing is no these thing which make us fat. Depending how our organism degrades the food. There is a medical examination in dietitian and these examination tell you how your organism degrades individual foods and what is not recommended to eat.. so if you want you may be interested in.

Like my mom says, every food is good in the right amount :) If you want to keep your weight in check you shouldn't eat too much chocolate and such kinds of food, but a little of it once in a while won't hurt, in my opinion... it'll actually cheer you up and give you some energy! You shouldn't deprive yourself of the foods you love, I think, just maybe limit the amount you eat if you feel they're making you gain too much weight.
