Well, if you're looking to stay updated with current events like news & such, there's more ways to keep updated than watching tv. I only watch tv around 3 - 4 hours a week myself. I do get on internet time to time & see local news, I do buy newspaper to read if I know I'll be on a train for a while, like my bi-weekly trip to New York on train. At times, I get news updates on my cell phone. Little things like that to keep up with current events.

hi! , watching tv for 8 hrs, is for me too much , I usually divide my spare time in tv , household work and bonding with my mom , husband , children or simply reading a book.

I love watching tv myself and to tell you the truth I don't recall how many hours I spend in front of the television. It's definitely close to eight hours if not more. I make sure that I always tune into Sky News as this is my favourite channel and it helps me keep in touch with what is going on in the world. Without the television I don't know where I would be. Still, I love catching up with a late night horror film on a Friday night and this kind of begins my weekend. My weekends tend to be pretty quiet in anycase and it's mainly at this time that I watch a lot of television. I set all my reminders in the morning, programs and films that I will be tuning into throughout the day. The television is the greatest invention this century I think. Andrew
