carpiediem We seek God as he is the kingdom of Heaven then we
obey his teachings and live that way being kind, loving and patient
living as God wants us to live. No big sacrifice if you are not a
person who dotes on sefish pursuits and thinks only of him or herself.
to me its really a comfortable way to live as you are not getting into
trouble like thoughtless, caredless, selfish people can do.

There are many ways to seek the Kingdom of HaShem. You do not have to fall on your knees and spend your life in prayer. Actions are a form of prayer to. By living your life a certain way you can earn the Right to the Kingdom of HaShem...If you lead people to Him by your actions, by your good Works then you will earn His Grace. I am not talking about proselytizing. You should not try to drag people in. They should see you and follow you because of what they SEE!
Getting to the Kingdom involves work, but it is rewarding work. It involves study of the Torah and then following its Mitzot or laws...This is how you gain the Kingdom of HaShem...

OOOPS, your christian slip is showing. I did not say to boast of your good works. Why do christians always misinterpret the way of the Jews? I said others will learn of HaShem by your actions and your good works, not your words. Have you never met a Righteous Person? Or do you know what that means? It is a Holy person who goes through life doing good without any expectations of anyone. Without praise or payment of any kind. This is a true Teacher of HaShem. One to learn from and emulate. One who one day will see the Creator and spend eternity in that presence......
You do not have to be a Jew or a christian or a Muslim or any sect to be Righteous....People have gotten so wrapped up in their egos that they cannot see beyond their own small mean little worlds and religions. It will destroy our World one day....
Shalom

Thanks Adoniah and lotterylover.
May our lives be exemplary as a testimony of our faith to God (whatever you perceive Him to be).
Perhaps by Seeking First the Kingdom of God allows us to be nearer Him and make the world a better place to live in. This includes very much to love others, to learn to love others and tolerance.

For me, the scripture says in matthew 6:33 .. seek first the kingdom of God. My view in this is when we seeking Him, our Lord. We need to read bible everyday, pray to Him, praise Him. We do not stop seeking Him until to know Him better, better, and better everyday. And if God see our faith to Him, all the things will added unto us.
Happy mylotting!

It is written in Mathew 6:33 "But seek ye first the kingdom of God....." If you notice seek ye first, the term "first" that is priority. To follow God we must find first his kingdom, but what does the kingdom mean? In Isiah 34:16 it says "Seek ye out of the book of the Lord, and read....." it is clear that what we have to seek is the holy writings, the God words or commandments where his righteousness is.

Seeking the Kingdom first means giving God the first priority in your life.Yes it will take a lot of sacrifices but if you love God you will find joy in seeking His kingdom, giving Him first place in your life.It also means that God will not only be just a part o your life but rather He will be your life.

Because our love to God. God first above all or before anything including ourselves. The love we gave to God are sacrifices, a true love is a more than 100% sacrifice. As Christians we have the symbol of the Christ's Cross that symbolize sufferings, sacrifices and hopefulness for forever lasting life and love to be one with God. Being a Christian as we love God above all things we should always be followers, disciples or a servant of God by not only ended as being as Christian or just on by the name (or being just like on or using a brand name) but must also be thru words, actions or deeds, inside our minds and at the center of our hearts.

In seeking first the kingdom of God is to repent and ask forgiveness from all your sins, accept CHRIST as your Lord and Savior and read the Holy Bible daily to know God and follow all His commandments. Yes it is indeed entail a lot of sacrifices for not sinning again or denying yourself from the love of this material world. Obeying God is easy if you are filled with His holy spirit and your eyes are focused on the LORD JESUS. Thanks

Not sacrifice carpediem because Christ had already done that sacrifice. We only have to seek Christ. Jesus said, "I am the way. Believe in me to have eternal life."

hi achilles, thanks for your reply.
Yes Christ has created that bridge between God and Man. And I truly pray for all Christians to know more of their faith, to Seek His Words, His Kingdom. Not just a Christian by name, or by some incidence.
