I guess I could live without my car, computer, tv, even the house I'm living in. I could always take public transportation or walk, I could read a newspaper if I want to see or read about the news, I could write a letter if I need to write someone & get a small apartment or find a shelter to have a roof over my head. Majority of things I have, I guess I could live without in extreme cases & if we look at it that way, yes, they're all convinience to me. All that being said, I guess I could live without my cell phone but it would make my life harder. I work for a company that puts me on a road a lot & heavily rely on being able to communicate. Depends on what your definition of "necessity" is, I guess it could be either way. Also, at the rate payphones are disappearing around where I live, I'm leaning more towards necessity.

Since my cell phone is the only phone I have and use, it is very much a necessity, as it is the way I keep in contact with my family, and also my tenants. I don't know what I would do without my phone, as I would be lost without it. I do take it with me wherever I go, unless I need to charge it, then I will just leave it home on the charger. I do miss it though when I don't have it, as I am just not used to leaving it at home. There have been a few thimes though where I forgot to put my phone in my purse, and when I would get where I am going, I then realized I didn't have it. I wouldn't be gone to long though, so I think that it was okay, but I just don't like to make a habit of it if I can help it. Take care, and have a very good day.

I am sure I could live without my phone, but I wouldn't want to and I would be extremely uncomfortable about it. I have an Iphone and I use it for almost everything! My alarm, my calendar, games, using the internet, and not to mention I text almost everything. It is really convenient.

For me, my cell phone is a convenience. It is not a necessity or requirement of my life. i enjoy using my cell phone but it would not be the end of my world without it.

Hehe, i can't live without my phone too.
I just need it, and when i don't need to use it, i need to know that it is ready for use Crazy, isn't it?
The life we live made us dependent of the new technologies and now we can't live without them - cell phones, computers, internet, messengers and so on ...
Sometimes i think ... what would it be, if we had to live in the forest, without all things we use in our days?

My phone is a great help for me but I can not say that it is really a necessity, I can still live without it although it will be uncomfortable. ^.^!
