girls getting more responses for their discussions than boys...

Haha, it's depend on the goal they set in this site, if they join this site just for fun, will they response your discussion, I don't think so, I am trying to respones all the discussion because I want both will have the things each want. I think you know what I mean. Thanks for your discusssion.

hello there! in my opinion,it doesn't mater what gender you have. actually,not all mylotters have revealed their true identity here,i can see some others who have different avatars which you can't say if the user is a girl or a boy. i do think that it all depends on how your discussion made an impact to others. i don't noticed what you have said,that women get more responses not like men. if others fid your discussion interesting,they will definitely make a response to that.however,there are also instances that not all mylotters are in search for those topics you got. maybe they are too busy making their own topics as well,or is it that they are responding or commenting to their own discussions or topics from close friends. i do think that if one has close friends here,there will be many chances of getting responses. there are also people who just drop by and search for things out of your topics. well,my friend,it's just all my opinion. it's up to you what to believe in...

I agree with you !!! Many might have disagreed with u, but i agree with you... Yes, girls get more responses than boys.. I have encountered with this.. But i don't end my discussions with 0 response, because i have some friends who will really drop their posts whenever i start a discussion.. I have only one 0 response discussion.... Regarding girls, they get more responses, first, every youth will try to post to a girl's discussion..I think there is no explanation required, because we youngsters are attracted first.. Next, if the girls have a nice avatar, then the quality of the discussion never matters... I have started with a 4 star rating when i climbed 100 posts, now i stay on 8 star with 1500 posts..I had steady climb, but i have witnessed many girls starting with a 4 or 5 star on 100 posts and they climb to 9 or 10 stars easily when they reach 300+ posts..What is the reason? Don't say , my posts are not good as their posts.. It's because of the Gender.. Yes you are 100% right !!!

no i do not think so, maybe it i just that the topics that they have started are more easy to reply at or something like that, on my case i do not check on who is the poster, i mostly concentrate on title and not on the topic starter

When I respond to a topic I have to be interested in the topic as well as find the thread interesting and open. So a thread on sports - I wouldn't respond to whereas a thread on writing or tv shows/fandom I am more likely to. Also I'll try not to respond to threads that I think will be deleted - those that look like reworded threads I think I've seen before. The more creative the more likely I am to respond, the more generic, the less likely. Third point is; is the question a yes or no or opinion thread.If Yes or No, did someone respond? Can I add to the information or will I just agree without furthering/adding to the discussion? If an opinion did the OP state theirs in such a way that my personal opinion would probably offend or make the OP ridicule me?

Oh I ses! As your experiance reveal the fact that boys get less responses than girls, it might be the fact that boys jealous boys ;-) I might be right in my point of view. If you face too much problem of being a boy in mylot, than you can change your gender and display picture in mylot to attract boys to response your discussion. it depends on what title we choose on. Of course if we select a very interesting topic with nice title, then every body will open it. It's not because it was a girls topic or a boys topic. In depends on what we make and create.

i think the reason people have less response to their discussions have nothing to do with the gender divide but it has to do with how well you communicate your subject. If i dont understand what your discussion is all about, i would not bother commenting on it. Secondly, you may be posting an excellent topic in a less enticing category and lastly you should try and respond to other peoples' posts to give you exposure to others

I do not know the reason why girls get a lot of responses compare to guys. But i sure admit that guys discussion is much deeper compare to girls. Guys here in Mylot even make a discussion out of sensitive topics and they do not get afraid or scared when people here will not like their discussion the way the write it here. While some of the girl's discussion choose a safer side of topics, not more on hate and some are personal experiences. I do not know the reason honestly. however, i agree with your discussion.

Hello, Anurag. I totally disagree with you. It is not true that girls have more responses than you, guys.:) It could be that you are posting your discussion at the wrong time. Meaning, not everyone has the chance to see who might be interested with them. Soon, they'll pick up unless they'll be deeply buried amongst your new discussions.:) As for girls, we are sometimes more patient than men when it comes to responding to the responses we received. So, our friends are more drawn responding to our discussions. :) Goodluck. Somehow, one day, the way your discussions are going will change. It will pick up just like the rest, too.:)

Really? To tell you the truth when I check a discussion I never check the gender of the original poster, so I don't really know if I'm responding to a male or a female Maybe people feel more attracted to female's words But don't be discouraged, I'm sure you have interesting things to say and when people don't post into your topics isn't because of your gender

I think the responses depend on the quality and the subject that the discusseion is written about to begin with. Also, some of the reasons girls have more responses is that they post more, or they always get on. As I get on for an hour a day at the most!
