I was amazed to know that people are making more than 100k on you tube for videos. On a MSNBC show they were talking how much people can make money on youtube. They told that youtube share there add revenue with the video owner(who post the video). This is serious money, it can be more than a real job for many people.
But nothing comes easy, you have to have a lot of view to get money. So, in order to make good money you have to have a good videos to post and then you have to promote it well to get thousands of view.
Do you post videos on youtube?
Have you thought about making money from youtube?

I'm certain the ones making 100k are the big YouTube stars that have over a million subscribers. In order to make money on Youtube, you have to be in the partnership program... and it's something that you have to apply and qualify for to get. You need to be making videos from all original content or have the rights to everything you use. (No copyright violations) You also have to have a large fan following... lots of subscribers, and lots of views on all of your videos. Not all partners make huge amounts of serious money, but they do make some money.
I'm a film student, and I've thought about getting serious about my Youtube channel and going for a Youtube partnership... but right now with school being what it is I just don't have the time or the energy to try for it. I probably will someday... but I imagine that it's going to be more work than just making videos.

I agree. My main point is that there are opportunities to make 100k, but of course you have to work hard for it. For you I think it will be easier than normal people as you are a film student. Best of luck with your youtube channel.

I was aware you can earn good money their but isn't down to how many views you get? I don't think it could be something I could do, although I know of a couple who do sweetlady and they say it's fairly easy to make sure people notice you. I only comment on videos, I never have upload anything. It's not really my thing :)

Yeah, I know that that is possible. But that kind of money can be earned after months of hard work and approval. It is not easy to build a fanbase and to put up interesting videos. Being a youtube celebrity is kind of hit or miss. Like gaining celebrity status in the real world, a lot of things have to work in your favor.
I don't post videos to youtube, mostly because I want to remain anonymous. I thought of starting a vlog, but it seemed so vain. As for making money off of youtube, it never really occurred to me.
