maggiewinner, I have done pretty well with cash surveys, and the one I do best with, is targeted for for those living in the USA & Canada. They pay between $2-$5+ for each successfully completed survey, and they pay by check or you can request a gift card to stores like Amazon.com.
Your earnings are credited immediately, and with a low $5 payout, you could reach payout a couple times a week...even in one day! They offer several opportunities each day, and it's all opinion surveys...no trying product, no hard sells after the survey...just qualify, give your opinion, and collect your money. Send me a pm and I'll send you a link to a few sites that always pay- every time!

I made money in August for taking surveys. $27.40 SurveyHead, $5.40 Opinion Outpost,
$25.00 Toluna,40.00 L&E (focus group). Focus groups are where you can make the most money. Just do a search for focus groups and you will have plenty to choose from. Not everyone is qualified for focus groups (meaning they ask you to fill out information forms and based on your answers if they feel you qualify for a study they will let you know. (basically the same thing the survey companies do). The focus group I participated in was so easy. I had an invite email which I responded to and then a follow up phone call to confirm when I could be contacted and then a 30 minute phone conversation once contacted by the sponsor. I referred my fiance to the same company and they contacted him for a research group. He participated in a product testing group yesterday and walked out with $100 cold hard cash. There is a possibility that he will be called back for a second testing that will pay $75. If you are interested in surveys you can check out this site... www.surveypolice.com (not a referral link). Survey police lists the best companies to take surveys for and also offer a complaint area for people. Good luck! I hope to increase my earnings online this way!

I am very lucky that I found a honest online survey website. Although it spends me a long time to be qualified to request the payment. But it is honest to pay. I have to just wait for some time and it will send me a check. I don't mind earning from it by a long time. After all, you have to finish some surveys and then you can get paid.
I love China

Online survey programs sound very attractive, saying they are easy ways of making good earnings. I had joined anumber of the survey programs, and have been very disappointed with them. I will not say whether they are scams or not. What I have been disappointed about many many times is that whenever I take the survey, some where in course of the survey, the message will come up saying that I am not qualified. Really disappointing ! If I am not qualified, then, why ask me to take the survey in the first place ? It is just a waste of time !

I think it's possible to make something, but it depends on if the ones you join are genuine or not. And if they're genuine, it also depends on where you live and your profile. Even if you can make some money from surveys, it really is very much a side-side income unless they have a referral program and you can attract referrals.

I am not very sure about this, I have join a few survey site, although they are legit, but to earn the max or become qualify to some survey is quite hard. I have received quite many survey and only qualified a few. And one of the site that I have join almost a year and only manage to gain around 400 point where the cash out point is 1000. So, it is hard for me to tell whether survey site can really bring you income.

You can make money doing surveys. Unforunately, most of the good sites are not taking on a new members, because they actually pay out and therefore have a limit.
Most are not good, but I have made some money off of a few.

It's definitely possible, but a lot of survey sites out there are scams indeed. I guess you just need to be really careful about that and do some research before joining any of them.
One site that has several daily surveys (as well as other paid-to offers and many more things) is Prizelive, I'm a member there (you can check the link on my profile, if you're interested) and I can say that this site pays :)

Well, there are a lot of scams. Search the web and infer their credibility before deciding to sign yourself up for anything.
I have yet to earn a check on Toluna, but myview and E-Polls could bring you useful gift cards for items.
Yes, you can earn money through online surveys, but they take time and you can't just quit an outside-of-home job to do them.

I do a lot of online surveys. Just last month (August) I made $70 from 3 different sites! Yes, it is hard to qualify but you have to have patience. Surveyspot.com is a great one and they pay through paypal and even gift cards now.

Yes, doing online surveys is another way to make an online income. However, many sites give rewards such as vouchers instead of cash money. There are of course those that pay real money as well. Thus, before joining, check to make sure that the vouchers they are giving as rewards can be used in your country.
One downside of doing surveys online is that it can get quite boring. It usually last for 20-30minutes. Imagine reading lines and lines after words and words. Furthermore, most survey sites will only email you, inviting you to take part in the survey if you meet their requirements.
I have earned close to $60 in form of vouchers and payment through paypal. It is a long and slow process.
Overall, worth it! Go give it a try. It won't give you much income to sustain your life, but as a supplement.

I have recently entered in this task. I also heard similar views from many as Maggiewinner. Let me wait for few more weeks and get the actual experience for giving my opinion on this matter. If anybody has experience may pl give actual facts and figs including their monthly average earnings.
