What's the difference? I think being smart means you can solve problems quickly by thinking logically, I think it is inborn. Being wise is more on values and experience in life?! I don't know.
But what would you rather be? I would rather be wise than smart.

I think smartness is having an individual knowledge in things like planning and understanding the knowledge. Thus smart people seek knowledge in books and other smart people, and sticks them to his brain. But being wise is the way that you can have in meditation and by listening to yourself. Wise people really don't read books and other stuffs but they understand themselves. If you're smart enough, you can answer difficult questions in math quiz bee or whatever. But if you're wise, you can master everyone and yourself.
Knowing others is Intelligence/Smartness
Knowing yourself is Wisdom
Mastering others is Strenght
But mastering yourself is True Power.

Well, firslty, sorry for the doubling of my comment, and I'd rather be wise so I can easily overcome circumstances with the help of GOD.

I think of smart as being clever and wise as being intuitive.

technically, smart answers to the question of "how?" while wise answers to the questions of "who?" or "what?".smart is solving problems, analyzing statements, and answering in a clever, witty way.wise of more of being enlightened and knowledgeable.I believe smart is a contributor to wisdom.a smart person will solve problems with wit and cleverness, which will add up to wisdom on the coming years of his/her life.

I could only determine between being intelligent and smart but the wise vs. smart I can't just analyze it. Because for me being wise is something that knowledgeable on how to do such things, example as what we have seen on TV commercials just like on how to wash the clothes that could make it white and clean. The idea here is they have to think on the products which is better to use or the best just to meet their demands. While smart is actually thinking or doing ways on how to solve a problem. Most of them are fast thinkers or learners as well.

Smart is intelligence and understanding knowledge, but wisdom is power and understanding yourself.
Knowing others is intelligence
Knowing yourself is wisdom
Mastering others is Strenght
But Mastering yourself is True Power

Hope it helped although it's simple.
