Reflect on what's the root cause of your nail biting and when do you usually do this. Is it when you become nervous? Out of habit? Then try to control it by reminding yourself not to do it again. Try also to cut your nails very short that will help remind you when you don't have anything to bite anymore.

I have this problem too but it's not that bad anymore. You can get those things where you put some substance on your nails like a nail polish and when you try to bite your nails it gives you this horrible taste. The taste is pretty gross so if you had it on all the time, it should prevent you from biting your nails.
Could it be anxitey? Maybe look at that too as it may be the reason you're doing this.

this is what we actually call mannerism, it is a habit that we didn't notice we're already doing when we're doing it. cut your nails short and focus. more often it is psychological.
