Whenever I go to yahoo.com.ph, I always see the news about the hostage taking and the degrading status of Phil - HK relationship. Does anyone wondered when will this stop? If this happened to the arroyo government, what do you will happen to this case?

You know what, as time goes by, people will just forget it. Like what happened to the Maguindanao Massacre. When the news is still hot, it's always the headlines. But now, as you can observe, we rarely hear anything about it. Only time knows when it will stop. Let's just pray that this will be over and the relationships of Phil-HK will be in harmony again.

Yeah right. But I think Arroyo government can easily cover this and have a new topic or news to discuss.

I agree! Arroyo has so many corruption scandals, if she was still the president, for sure the Luneta hostage crisis will be replaced with a multibillion dollar government deal turned stinky.

i believe GMA had more trouble times not this just hostage taking. she had also faced mutiny attacks two times and same thing about the Ducat incident. but you know she handled it well, despite of that, she was still criticized for it. i have watch television, knowing that some hongkong youngster are hugging filipinos as a sign that they don't hate them all.

I think the issue will soon stop but the degrading the Filipino oh well? It depends on people from HK some will stop but then some will be forever degrading other Filipino people. Although I have seen the youngsters as well that they gave hugs to the Filipinos that are in Hong Kong representing that they don't hate them and also I was overwhelmed to Jackie Chan that the was able to understand the situation where that is an isolated case. I believe the crime that Rolando Mendoza made is not a domino effect for the Filipino people.

Same here, I feel glad when Jackie was able to understand our situation. He shows more maturity and also able to handle the situation when his fellow countrymen started commenting on his tweets.

It will end as soon as all the investigations and inquiries will be presented and answered. For sure it will take no longer a month to do so. Since another incident will surely be the talk of the town again. That seems to be a cycle every now and then. Another issue will come out and will overshadow the previous one making the previous one unknown. I guess that's how it works.

For every change of government, this kind of cycle is always observed. I just wondered, when will I see that the latest news or incident will be resolved in just a day or two.
