Money is easy to spend and yet it is so hard to earn?

Good day to you Fellow Mylotter, I kept on thinking this lines "money - too hard to earn but - easy to spend". Yes, this lines always clings to my ear since I was a child. Wherein, my mom always reminds me to save a penny from the allowance that she always gives. Aside from that, during those times when I was still a child, my mom also reminds me to think of a way on how to earn at least a little. And now, I am already old, this lines, still bangs my ears. And keep on asking myself - why does money is easy to spend and yet it is hard to earn? Thinking, perhaps, that is the mere role of money. To stay and pass on to our hands. That is, to stay for a while on our palm just to buy the things we want then pass on to another palm.

let me share you the pipeline theory, there are different books about it.. anyway, there are two money earners and they were friends, their job is to fetch water from one point to another and they are being paid for every bucket of water they bring to the other end, let's name them B1 and B2. One day B1 noticed that he is already tired of carrying buckets but still he has no money in his pocket, no savings in the bank, no money to spend for vacation. Then B1 think of how can he make the water to just flow, so he doesn't have to carry buckets and so he thought of using a pipe. The next day he started digging, while B2 was laughing at him telling him that he needs a very long pipe to make the water flow, and it won't be easy to create or build. But B1 was insistent, he carried buckets during the day, he build his pipeline in the evening while B2 is resting. Days gone. B1 finished his pipeline. The next morning, B2 was on his way to carry buckets, B1 was still in his pajama, without a bucket in his hand. B2 asked him why is he standing there without a bucket on his hands. B1 smiled and said, "Why would I? I finished my pipeline, and the water is flowing through it, i don't need to carry buckets anymore. I've done the hard part, i worked hard for this pipeline while you are at rest, now, this pipeline will work for me." Now, carrying buckets is your traditional job where you are being paid from paycheck to paycheck. Employees are bucket carriers. Pipelines on the other hand are residual income you receive from business you built and rebuilt and rebuilt by other people who duplicate you. Businessmen built pipelines. Money has no role, you have the role for money....money is just money, it is just there, if you want to earn little, no problem. If you want to earn more, no problem, If you want to earn million dollars, no problem... but it depends on HOW you want to earn it.

We find it hard because our desires are unlimited and we craze for much more than what we really need.It is easy to spend because we are driven by countless desires and dreams. If we limits our desires to minimum level as needed for a normal and natural life, there will hardly any scope for spending.Increasing consumerism, increasing health problems due to environmental pollution, increasing craze for luxurious life style, increasing competition to possess and accumulate wealth has led to too much financial pressure and resulting tension in life.

Hi, it is so very true ! Money is the most unstable commodity forever flirting around. My granny used to say that after using both our hands and working till they start aching you are able to earn a little money fitting into the palm of one hand...This is a saying here.So it is so very easy to spend 100 dollars , can be done in a minute, but takes probably more than a month to earn it..All the best and happy mylotting

Good day to you too. Well, this world is like that. This is the fact, this is reality, this is how it works. Some people can spend money like nobody's business, and they can spend it in a way equivalent to using water. Those are what we call spendthrifts and a majority of them are rich people, young ones some more. Why? Because they don't know the process behind earning that small dollar! They only know how to spend it! They don't really know what is earning money and thus, don't know what their family's breadwinner is undergoing!!! This is the hard truth nowadays. I feel saddened that people could spend their money without saving a SINGLE penny. Why can't they just think about their parents???

Yeah, as far as I am concerned, I think I do agree with you so much that Money is easy to spend and yet it is so hard to earn. For me, I am a person who seldom goes out to spend the money that I have earned by my so hard work in life. But if I have decided to go out to buy something, then the terrible time will come soon. I will just spend a lot and buy the things that I want . I will not have the heart that I am willing to spend the money. That is me,who will spend a lot once if I just go out.Have a nice day!

Yes that is true. It is really hard to earn some amount of money and yet it is easy to spend. Specially, here in Philippines, Salary is little but our cost of living is a bit expensive for us. So I have to know what is my necessities and luxury. Well, I am trying to save some amount for my future use.

I think it's because there are soooo many ways to spend money, so many products you need/want food, water, elec, toys and many many more. But most people only have 1 or 2 sources of income. The way i see it is alot of people live way beyond their means. If you're clever with your money while you're young it really can set you up for life. I'm 22 came from a very poor upbringing in a trailor and now i'm well on my way to owning my property outright (mortgage paid) and i've travelled the world and am about 5-10 years away from retirement all because of some good decisions and hard work while i was young. Never spent more than i needed until i could afford to.

HI, I do agreed with your statement...MOney is easy to spend, but hard to earn. I remembered when I was young, my mother always advise me to save money and don't anyhow spend. I should say that I am not a big spender. However, I still can't understand how hard it is to earn money as I still enjoying my childhood until I graduated from my university and started to look for a job, then only I know that earning money is very hard, but when comes to spend them...so easy and it can gone within half an hour. After I started to work,no more support from my father and I was supporting myself. My salary is more than enough for me to spend for my single life and i still have some saving after paying all my expenses including my insurance. I really enjoy my single life. Now, I am married and I am not working at the moment. I have to takecare of my son.therefore no more monthly fixed income to my account and now I feel hard when come on spending money. I have to really think carefully before buying a thing and have to make price comparison.I really need to spent money wisely since my husband is the only bread winner in my family. I do hope I cna go out to work and earn some income for myself and for my family...but now is not the right time as my son still need my care.

Money is indeed hard to earn and come by. It caqn ne equally as hard to hold on to it. Spending money comes so much easier than hanging on or earning it. Earning is achieving, bit by bit. Once money is spent it is gone forever.

...i agree...money needs time, effort and patience before you could earn it...and it only takes a useless desire for you to lost it...money is a good slave, but a bad master, so be sure to spend it wisely and correctly..most of us only think about the present times specially when we have enough money to spend...but we forget to see what's ahead, questions like "what if i will lost my job tomorrow?", "what if something happens on the next day which badly needs money?"...how we spend money wisely depends upon how we discipline ourselves..and knowing what's important and urgent and which is a need or a want..=)

absolutely. Money is so easy to spend and very hard to earn. Here in the Philippines, an employee will work for 15 days before receiving their salary. after a day or two, what you earned in 15 days is already spend in lets say two to three day and you will find yourself that you will wait another 15 days before receiving another part of you salary. Well it is very hard to earn money, but it is very easy to spend it.

yes really this is true especially when i earn like 500 in 4 months then all is lost in a day :/ really money is really hard to earn and earning takes long but when its time to spend it takes little time. Money is hard to earn if youre a kid when youre mom is the only one giving you the allowance and you always spend on things you dont really need sometimes but when you get a job its also hard to earn money because you have to pay for everything if youre living with with youre family you need to use youre money to buy needs and wants of the family but i guess this happens to parents if one has a job (father or mother) .

You're right very hard to earn you can earn a $$/ hour but you can spend your money less that a minute. That's the logic about that. You work possibly 8 hours a day and rate for about $20 to $25 a day. But when it comes to spending it you can spend your whole earning less than a hour. Buying all the basic needs.
