Honestly, I am really a weakling in Math. I find learning English more interesting as it is one of my strengths. I'm doing my best to love Mathematics but it seems that I'm really having a hard time dealing with numbers and analyzing them. I salute those Math wizards in this world for being an expert in analysis. I don't hate Math though because I know Mathematics has contributed a lot to make this world progressive. It's just that I'm just an average kid when it comes to solving Mathematical problems but at least I know the basic concepts of it. How about you, which do you prefer?

I simply love Mathematics. Not that I don't like literature but Maths is my all time favorite. Actually that's the reason why I chose Economics as my subject for graduation and Post graduation.

I honestly like both. I love writing and reading, thus the love for English, and I also love analyzing numbers, thus the college degree in Accounting. hehehe. I am blessed, because my dad is good in math and my mom is great with English, so I have good genes.

English would do....ill say no to math. I was enrolled in a school before that im not oblige to add math in my subjects. Music school is the best where you can run away from math!!!whew....but i decided to have another course, which is BSIT and right now, I have a lot of math subject to finish....wish me luck!

When I was still a student, I did not put too much effort in learning the English language. I even cut classes and yet I still got high grades in all English subjects.:)
In Math, though, I am not that really moron when it comes to this but somehow I am challenged with all the mathematical equations and I find it liberating as well as a healthy exercise for the brain, too.
I love algebra and other Math subjects but a great factor that really motivated or demotivated me to keep my interest in the subject was the teacher. No, it wasn't that I fancied her or him but the way they explained the topics. If she can very well explain everything then, I'd stay but if she's a lousy teacher, it's high time to drop the subject as well.:)
Well, those were the times. But right now, I think both Math and English gives me a tough time sometimes. :(

For me, I much prefer Maths over English. I find English too overwhelming for me with the so many bombastic words. Sometimes, I can't even understand what my lectures is saying.
Furthermore, Maths is a subject where full marks is possible but not for English. For maths, the concepts are there, the questions are standard. As long as I practice, I know I will be able to answer them.
However, for English, it is quite impossible to do so. But, I still very much like english as it makes our words more colourful!!

Oh my god, of course i will choose English, Math with me is " a whole new world " . I can't stand math.I really weak at math , at number , when i see a complicate equation, i feel dizzy , the number are dancing . But with English is different, i don't study when i have exam , i just do it , and i always have a high score :). I like English than math. It's fun when i learn English

Ellechoi. It you could love math, then you could dance with the numbers. You would twirl through fields of equations, waltz over mathematical laws, and moon dance on top of geometrical shapes.

Personally, I prefer English over Math. It's not because I don't understand it. In fact, I'm actually pretty good at grasping numerical concepts when I apply myself on the task. However, reading and writing just strike me as so much more creative. I feel like you can express so much more of yourself as a human being with English as opposed to Mathematics, which is probably why I like it so much more.

I love them both and I really can't take one and leave the other. When I was in grade school, up until my high school days, I used to join quiz bees both for Math and English. If there be a conflict with the schedule, I could get to choose. I usually end up with Math, though, because nobody else would do it, whereas I have other classmates who can participate in English. I took up Accountancy, and it's a perfect mix of English and Math. However, now that I'm in Law School, I'm so much into English, and I miss Math...

We shared the same sentiments when I was a kid. I don't know why though my grades were all above average. But I am not satisfied wiht my math's grade. What I did? I took up mechanical engineering, that way mathematics is all over the place. And from then on, I find it more ineresting because I have no choice but to love it or else I will fail becoming an engineer. Now, happily and successfully being a Registered Mehanical Engineer for almost 10 years now.

English every day man,at least you learn something you might use in life, not only some formula and stuff, math is hard and pointless.I flunked 8th grade because of it.

If it weren't for math, you wouldn't have this computer nor the light to see what you type, unless you're outside in the sun. Matter of fact, there's not much you could do without math. The recipes used to make the food you eat, takes a little math knowledge. The seat you sit in has mathematical form and is structured according to geometric formulas. No matter what job you get, math is involved in some way.

I prefer math although I love them both. I am a mathematics tutor with a strength in statistics. I have also taught the subject in every kind of school (grade school, middle school, high school, adult ed, community college.) I love numbers and love solving complicated problems. I love English but I'm weak in some areas. And although weak, I still have enough knowledge from teaching GED English and subbing English classes to be able to get a lot of my writing (fiction, poetry, and non fiction) published. In other words, I give both sides of my brain a heavy workout.

Math is my Waterloo; I prefer English of course. Although I'm not that excellent in this language, at least I am able to understand it.

math...my worst enemy in school. xD yeah it was, and it still is. I completely agree with you it's not a complete throw off since it has contributed a lot in making this world progressive, but it's certainly not for everyone. Basically I gotta tell you I know more people who are either bad in math or hate it, so I think there's many people not being good or haing math. I too could categorize myself as an average math solver and I don't even have an intention to progress, because I know it'll always be a pain in the a** for me. So yeah math in general, basics are ok, but to learn it a an intermediate level in schools where later you won't even need it (your profession choice) I think its a complete waste of time, so I think we should be taught basics and then if we'd pursue other math related jobs we'd learn it in an intermediate level.
I too gotta say I respect those math gurus, because heck you guys got the nerves! I don't, to be honest xD
so my answer to your question here would be english ALL THE WAY! I really love english, and even if it's not my 1st language I speak I still try to learn as much as I possibly can from it, because it's really one of my favourite languages and to go choosing it over math there's no second thoughts I'd choose english. Plus, language is more important than calculations when you go travel or something, right? :]

Next year I will attend the graduating examination which include both math and English,so I have to make choices about learning both.when the question is up to the preference, the answer is different for everybody.honestly,I prefer the English than the Math.not only can it make realise the culture about English-speaking countries, but also it can improve my ability about what the society is in need of.Despite learning math can enable my brain more active ,I think, realising the culture from diversifid world through learning English and communicating with the male or female whose language is English is good to my career in the future.

I'm the same with you, I'm not good at Math but English is my Major, I love English, I've studied English since I was 10, and I'm always in the English Major Class. English give me more interest, it enables me to communicate with foreigners, it brings me nearer to the world.
In Math, I know it's an interesting science, but I just can't manage to like it. I just tried my best to have good marks but besides basic knowledge, I know nothing, hihi.
Any one has his/her own advantages/disadvantages, but as soon as we try to prove and develop our advantages together with trying to make our disadvantages less serious, we can also succeed in life!
Have a good time! Friends?
