Santa Claus is coming to town

it is the first month of "-BER" months...and Christmas is very near. I love Christmas because it is the time when I get to see most of my love ones...lots of food are being prepared and shared with...and of course, GIFTS! =) To kids, CHRISTMAS GIFTS equals SANTA CLAUS...I myself when I was still a kid believed that Santa Claus is a man with white hair and beard, with big stomach in red suit and hat, and carries a large sack of gifts...I was 8 years old when I woke up and caught my grandmother placing gift money on my Christmas stocking. =) However, I still believe that Santa Claus can be anyone who is willing to share and give to those who are in need. How about you, how old were you when you realized that Santa is a fictional character? Or did you ever believe in him?

I don't remember any of it. 52 and I assume i believed in Santa at some age, but don't remeber it at all. So I can't answer that. My 10yo GD still does.. this might be her last year and my 4yo GD does. I write them letters from Santa and mail them to Alaska for a "north pole" postmark every year. And they love those. My concern is now that the 10 yo might be her last year with Santa...what is she going to think when she also realizes..if there is no Santa...who wrote the letters?

It was nice of you to do that. I am sure they are too excited every year waiting for Santa's mail. =)

Yes it is the Ber Months and it's starting to feel like it as well. The sky is not as blue as it was just a few days before, it looks overcast, and it's a bit chilly in the house so I can only assume the same can be said about outside. I remember when I was younger and believed in Santa, I believe I was maybe 11 or 12 when I stopped believing in him. It was such a magical feeling though. I remember one year my dad got on the roof and made the sound of hoof beats just so it seemed more real. We lived in a trailer and the roof was metal tin so it was easy enough to accomplish.

Your dad really put an effort. =) But yes, it was magical to think that Santa really exists. =)

What do you mean Santa is a fictional character; he still comes to our house every year! My eldest daughter is almost 39 and never once in her life has she or any of my other 4 kids would dare even suggest bsuch a thing!!

Well, if I didn't caught my grandpa filling my christmas stockings with cash gift, I may still think it was Santa. =) Anyway, it's always a nice feeling to believe into something as good as Santa...and even if I have seen it that way now, when I have my own kids, I will still let them believe of Santa...=)

Oh! the disappointment in finding a "pen" in the stocking...aw! the agony of writing something.....with that pen...well it was the CHRISTMAS GIFT...I had to do something with it....and I did...never WASTE a gift...no matter how insignificant and useless it may look while you are receiving it....Parents all around the World do their best to GIVE what they CAN afford...what they can AFFORD and what they can't....the message is however "small" the gift is it's a "gift"....live with it and DO something that would make someone else's life be an inspiration to your givings...pass it on mate....that's Christmas.....the spirit of giving....and not expecting anything...sorry if I have been too wordy in my opinion...but your topic.."Santa Claus is coming to town" certainly deserves it...I think so...hope you do the sane.

I used to believe in Santa Claus, my mom and dad made sure of that. And when I grew up and found out the truth, I was for quite some time, devastated. No little elves? No gift for each and every child in the world? No all seeing, all knowing benevolent being? ?I was crushed. But now, I now better. There is a Santa Claus. And he comes at the most unexpected of all times. Like for instance i was feeling sad and blue, and a friend without even knowing it made me laugh because of some hilarious jokes.

Santa Klaus has become the symbol of imagination for children since the 1940s. Santa Claus is always coveted by them to come when christmas Day, which coincides with winter. If i am 10 years old before also expect hat, but what's happening to my live, now? Santa Klaus never comes, but comes to our business

I don't believe in Santa... Probably he believe in me. When i was 3 years old my mom say me: There is no Santa Claus and i am happy to know that. I have a child and i will tell him after grown up, that Santa Claus is just SCAM. :)

And... When you believe in something, that don't exist is HARD to change your fate into something real... Every one must know the true... Santa Claus don't exist. Vampires don's exist. Werewolfs don't exist too. It's only jaws... Believe in God, this is something real and will be real to rest of our lifes!
