If you had plenty of money would you still go to school and learn? Or you would be satisfied to be uneducated, but live better then most of the people who learned and graduated a university?
Many people say that they learn for the sake of knowing, to have a certain level of general knowledge. Others say that they learn for being able to find a good job and to have a good salary. And there are those who learn for both reason.
Where would you put yourself, in which category?

I'd like to put myself in both. I already finished an undergraduate course in Philosophy but there's this thing inside of me that keeps on coming up every now and then. I feel like I want to take another course which is education. I actually even inquired in the university where I graduated but I haven't done it up to now.

I think this is a good thing, that you have a certain hunger for knowledge. Even though many people who are well educated, learned a lot and graduate universities don't get the appreciation they deserve( financial and sociological), it is still good to gather information, because this way the knowledge, the cultures, sciences, religion will continue to live.

If I am rich of course I would still go to school for learning. Even if you are rich but lack of knowledge I think it could be useless, of course we are not sure about the stability of our wealth as well because anything can happen. If you are educated at least you would still learn on how to invest money so that you would still be stable. Other than that if you are rich of course you have the opportunity to study on any of the most reputable or world class universities.

if i had pleanty of money i would still like to go school and college to learn because everyone likes more money and if someone is educated he can earn more money then an uneducated manner and secondly if i am educated i will be sophisticated and i like being sophisticated that's why also i will learn..
and for your second part i would liek to say that i will learn to find a good job and good salary and live a respectful life in society...

Hi rappeter13,
I am a lifetime learner. I am an older adult who has just been accepted to a local university. It has taken me a long time to finish my degrees because of finance burdens. So, if I had plenty of money I would have finished my education a long time ago. I am in college because getting an education is beneficial in getting a better job and for my own desire to just get more knowledge. Money will help me continue my education, but not have any will not hinder my determination to finish.

Learning not only gives to earn., but also it is useful to gain knowledge and experience. learning gives awareness about many things around the world.even many of us learnt something in a particular discipline and got a job in some other field. So its not a thing education gives only job and we are all studying for that purpose .I studied only to know something and have some awareness about that thing....

Actually, even if you're rich, you need to study for you to learn how to spend your money wisely. You couldn't have those money forever. If you spent your money unwisely, you can loose it and can never bring it back. But if you that knowledge how to manage it and spend it to something you're gonna profit, you can be richer and you'll gain not just more money as well as wisdom.

Well, I guess I would do both. But you don't have to go to school to learn. Of course, there is nothing wrong with school and I'm certainly not against it myself. But there are people who have gone to school and earned a degree but have less intelligence than a rock. And, there are those who have never set foot inside a school beyond high school but are very intelligent and very successful people. I know of one guy who can fix just about anything electronic that you set before him and he didn't learn how in school. He studied books on electronics and electricity on his own time. This guy walked into a factory here in my home town one day looking for a job and told them that he could run any machine they had and not only run but also work on the machines as well and he proved it. And guess what! They made him a supervisor right then and there. He had never had any formal training for that position or the type of work they did. It's a true story. But, I understand what you are asking. I would probably lean more toward having plenty of money since I've never really been able to decide what I would go to school to learn. Plus, I don't have much patience for sitting in a classroom. But, I woudn't exactly be uneducated. I love to learn and I read just about anything educational that I get my hands on.

Education is an important tool to our futures. We need to lesrn to know about the world around us. Even if i had more than enough money to get by, i would still welcome the opportunity for learning. The more we can learn, the more satisfying and fulfilling our lives can be. I think just having the knowledge is far more rewarding than the job salary.

I consider myself studying for both purposes. For earning money and also for improving my knowledge. But if I had lot of money then I would have just studied for getting degree and would not have studied as hard as I study now.
Nowadays money is needed for everything.

I think we learn in order for us to become a better person. Whether we go for a formal education or learn through experience, as long as we know how to utilize what we learn and improve on our process, it would not be that difficult to improve yourself. I do think that learning from mistakes is the most efficient way of learning..... Anyway, i do learn for both knowledge and for money :D

Money can't buy you everything in this world. And money can't stay forever. If I'm not well educated, how am I able to know how to spend my riches wisely? So I'd say, even if I'm the richest person in this world, I will study, learn, become productive and make use of all my wealth to help the needy, only this time to invest my wealth for the next Life.

I was born a knowledge seeker. It stimulates me to learn something new to roaden my own horizons. For me it is definately for myself. I will never stop learnig. It makes life interseting because the more you know, general knowledge you have, the more people you can communicate with.

We are eager to learn because our brain as the most complex things in the universe are design to hold untold volume of books in an eternity. As of now in our mortal status, we are very thirsty of knowledge! Learning satisfaction can only be attain if human can live to eternity and have chance to shop the billion galaxies!!

No amount of money can buy anyone, respect and education. Although it would be nice for me to have lots of money, I would also like to be an educated person.

Money is merly a tool to live life with... but it is knowledge that really makes one of who he is... money is today but gone tommorow... education stays... say I was a rich man but uneducated... and something happned that I lost all my money... what would I do then? I am uneducated arnt I.... but lets say I am the poorest of the poor, and I have good education... I use that education that I have and ... What do you know I am a rich man ! :)
then lets say, I am a rich man I loose my money but still I can regain that money only through knowledge, knowledge open's the mind... If I could analyse that I would loose money in the future, by the help of my knowledge I would try my best to prevent such from happening...
So basicaly education and knowledge is everything... !
