I think text message spam should be illegal. I have to pay for receiving or sending text messages, and spammers cost me money by sending me trash I'm not even interested in. I have to reply STOP so they don't keep sending me more garbage, so it costs me twice as much. And sometimes they send me confirmation of unsubscribing, so that's even more money. When I sign up for things, I never put my phone number under the cell phone spot, but since its my primary phone I put it in the home phone category. But somehow they still know it's a cell phone.

Hmm.. I used to have that problem also. Get random text messages which costs a chunk of money my cellphone, which was a pain. What I did to fix that was to call my cell phone provider, which was Rogers. I asked them to check why I would receive tons of spam messages via cellphone, and they found out that my phone was subscribed to alot of programs which I did not subscribe to. They would delete all the subscriptions, but I chose to get a new cellphone with a new number, since my previous cell number was already in danger. Text message spams should be illegal, but then again, if you worked at a cellphone program company, wouldn't spamming cellphones make you the moneys worth?
