Which is better, in your opinion ?

I want to publish some of my writings into a book, but then I started to think about how I will go about it. There are many choices that I can pick from nowadays. I'm not sure. In your opinion, which way of publishing;e-books, self publishing or should I just sent my writings to an literary agent and take my chances in getting published? Have you ever wanted to publish your writings into a book? Have you published a book? What is the name? What methods did you use to go about being published?

I have am curious about this myself. I also have a longing to publish some stuff, but I am not sure where to begin. I actually have a friend who has published at least 2 books I now of, and I need to see how he went about it. I do know that he made in-roads over the years and may have found the opportunity to do the work he is doing based on his contacts.

That's interesting. Yeah, I write frequently and I thought that maybe I should publish some of my writings. What are the names of your friends' books? What are they about, if you know? I would love to read them. I'm an avid reader and I love reading different type of books.

Heh...Actually he has written two books for Hasslein books. One is Timeline of the Planet of the Apes. His second one is coming out around Thanksgiving called The Lexicon of the Planet of the Apes.
He has written a number of short stories and articles for Star Wars magazines as well. The guy is brilliant.

but definitely i will not publish it on internet since i didnt use english as my language...

You can search some publishers through internet and send your manuscripts to them. If they find your writing good, you are lucky. You should not pay anything. They will pay you 1/10th of their income. you will get some money in advance also. I sent my manuscripts to some publishers. But all are rejected. I like to do self-publishing. there for i need a big amount of money. I have no money to do self-publishing. all my manuscripts are children picture books.
