No more sound?

there is no more sound in my comp any more, and when I go to controle panel it tells me that no sound devices installed... although just yesturday I was using my comp and there was sound...
pluse when I go to volume controle it tells me no mixer devices installed.

check if you can see sound device in device manager. If it is there than disable it and than re enable it
if even this doesnt work than try reinstalling your drive
NOTE:First one should work for sure.

There are a number of reasons why this could be happening. The most unfortunate reason is that your sound card could have went out. That is never bad news. Right before I got my new computer, the sound card just went out. Of course, it could be just possible that the sound card in your computer got jarred a bit loose somehow. I would not recommend messing around in there, unless you know what you are really doing.
Speakers could be done as well, but that is a longshot. When my speakers went out before, it registered something plugged in to the computer, but there was no sound coming out of there. I would try shutting down the computer completely or restarting it first of all. It might seem obvious but that might fix the issue a lot of the times. Of course, if it doesn't, then its likely your sound card.

you have to check the sound-card if it is running. if it's working check it driver ^^
