Would you ever allow yourself to be hypnotised?

Technically, we are hypnotized every day by television, music, and the writing on signs and buildings as we drive down the road. So I'm really not against adding more hypnotic suggestion to my life. I've often thought about getting help with my habit of over eating, and my social anxiety.. Have you ever given this any thought? What would you have a hypnotist help you with? Are you against hypnosis? why?

I would not mind one bit. I would like to know what is deep seeded in my lolly of a brain. However I would need people with me to take notes so that they can explain all the crazy things going on up in there.

Absolutely I think it would certainly ask so many questionable things in my brain that I can't seem to sort out.
So video taping would be ideal as then I can replay and be able to refer back to them as I sort them all out.

I think it would be cool to be hypnotized, find where my deep seeded issues are, and have it video taped. It would be interesting to hear myself talk about my life under hypnosis. Don't you think?

Funny, I expected more yeses. I guess it is kind of frightening to think about letting someone else play with your mind. You'd have to be a really trust soul...or an adventurous one...

Yes I would allow that to happen to me. I am a bug believer in alternative therapies and if I thought I needed help with something I would have no probelm in consulting a hypnosis.
It is something I would also like to practise myself. I would love to be a qualified hypnotherapist I think it would be a wonderful skill to be able to do, especially now as conventional doctors refer people to practitioners.

That's true I think. If you're not completely relaxed, and trusting of the person trying to hypnotist you, it wouldn't work at all. thank you for sharing :)

I am a bit of a control freak, so I would never let myself get hypnotised. I am not against hypnosis, as I know it has helped a lot of people cure some common illness. For me I just don't want for I fear I keep a lot of secrets. And I fear that it would be divulged without me knowing if I ever get hypnotised.

It would be embarrassing if I got hypnotized and started telling people things that I wouldn't normally tell anyone. That's a good point.

It depends on what kind of hypnosis i have seen it done at a county fair and that was fun to watch if it was that kind yes, I would love to make a fool of my self on a stage. I don't think I have any reason to be hypnotized other then for fun. If I had a different reason to I would find out about it.

I think it would be kind of fun in a way to experience a major change in my life after being hypnotized. I think the power of the mind is amazing.

That's something I would like to know myself. I would do it if I knew someone that it worked for too.
