For someone who has recently married, you want to make your marriage as smooth as possible? My tip is you and your spouse should do his/her share some of your things, you should respect each other's individual belongs. Can you give other tips for newlywed to make their marriage as smooth as possible?

Always be respectful of one another. Nobody wants to be with someone who belittles them.
Keep 3 bank accounts: His, Hers, Ours. Everyone needs there own bank account that nobody else has a say in.
No name calling in a fight. Try not to go to bed mad. What if something happens and you or the other person doesn't wake up? How would that feel to know the last words were angry words?
Tell your spouse you love them at least 3 times a day. The more the merrier!
Don't forget quiet time. It is not good to be on the go 24/7.

excahnge all things that you both dislike, so that you two cannot offend each other. You two will live happy. Otherwise those things will spoil your relationship if one did something that the other did not like will always end up in a feud.

I agree with you. It is better that you set expectations in the beginning of your married life. Aside from respect for things, talk about sharing of expenses as well. Make contingencies for future plans also because you'll never know what will happen. It is best that both of you are prepared so that in the long run, everything will run smoothly. Finally, learn the lesson of give and take. Never let an argument last longer than a day - make that a common practice. If you are the offender, just apologize and immediately and let bygones be bygones.

Aside from respecting each other's personal belongings and opinions about things, newly wed must also not go to sleep without resolving disagreements during the day. They should try to make sure that they will talk about what went wrong and what should they do about it. They should not let pride take over their emotions. They must also try their best to do things together no matter how busy they can be at their work. They should inform one another before arriving at certain decisions and they must weigh it together. Though they got to have their own individual activities, when it comes to decision making, they should consider each other's feelings about it.
