Nowadays we are using cd-player now or even relying to an Ipod or Iphone. And no one uses cassette tapes as you can't see it on the market now. Do you have any idea on what to do on cassette tapes? That now it is just useless and you can't be able to listen to the music from cassette tapes?

I'm preserving my cassette tapes in a sealed box. Many years from now, when i build my own home, I will have those displayed in my music room. =)

That was also my dilemma but Ondoy sort of answered the question for me. What I did was to sort out the ones that had superior quality but did not quite finish. My friend was going to transfer them to CD then sell the casette tapes either to collectors or find a place that will recycle.

That is a good question. I still have a few tapes but no tape decks to play them all. I guess the only option is to throw them out and replace the music online or but the CD's is they are still avaliable. I just hope CD's never go out because I have a huge music CD collection.

I am hoping for that as well because having CD is a big use where there is actually a store for blank cd. I have my collections of CD as well that is why I don't want that to be pulled out.

cassette tapes are not usable nowadays unless you still have radio to play it on.
but if you are only after those music, you can always download from internet.
i think there are other ways to recycle them than throwing them away.
i also do have lots of cassette tapes but i still keep them.
well,for me it's like a souvenir.
but if you want some ideas to recycle them,i have one to tell.
well,i am not that artistic but i have created letters to my best friend way back, and i used cassette tape for that. yes,you heard it right!
i removed the brown one inside, and replaced it with papers. haha,
as you can see it really is an effort to cut out papers and combine them all together inside that cassette tape.
it made my friend smile when i happen to give it to her...

Wow that is very creative and innovative idea . I am still keeping those cassette tapes. Good thing I have no favorite musics on it but I remember I have my beauty and the beast soundtrack and even little mermaid.

Yup you're definitely right cassette tapes are a thing of the past. However it might come in useful. There are still people in the world that relies on that kind of technology. I am not just sure if the tapes can be recycled to made into films instead the idea of embedding sound in a tape of metallic film is an amazing technology. However it is very crude, since every time you play it on a cassette player the quality of the sound degrades. But I kinda miss it though playing cassette tapes on a player then sometimes it get stuck on the player that you have to meticulously remove the cassette tape and avoiding further damage to the precious music encrypted. Those were the days... today its the day of flash drives and DVDs and BRDs. I wonder when will the cd be obsolete...

I hope the cd wouldn't be obsolete as we can use it for burning the files from computer. That is not for music as well. The advantage of cassette tape is that we can record the conversation. When I was in college I used to do that especially when it comes to computer laboratory classes. But now I am relying it on my cellphone.

You can transfer the music to cds. If you are the creative type. You can browse the net on how to recycle them.

On the onset of compact discs, I have thrown away all the cassette tapes because I can no longer find any tape player anymore during those time. It was a waste but it was okay since most of my favorite tapes were already converted to CDs.
