What Do Your Grandkids Call YOU/

I guess it will be a few years before I find out. But I do remember we used to call my grandfather "doody daddy". No idea where that came from.

I am Nanna to all my grandkids = I have nine grandchildren and am at the moment staying at my youngest daughter's house waiting for number 10 !!

Hi ANTIQUELADY As you know I am not as yet a grandparent and hope not to be for some time yet! My boys call my mum Nanny and my dad Grandad. My nephews call my dad Pops which is quite sweet. I do hope you had a lovely grandparents day yesterday, I am sure you did.

I hope you had a very lovely Grandparents Day. How great to feel honored your grandson has made a specail name for you. My children call my husbands parents. Nana and Papa. My mom is Grandma. Nothing to fancy, and pretty common. Though before my son could say Grandma for my mom he called her Gan-saw and stil to this day if he get's in a hurry he says it, and well laugh at him.

Good morning Jo! See...now I didn't get this discussion either...what is going on with MyLot! Anyways, as you know, I am not a grandma...better not be for quite a few years..lol My oldest boy used to call my dad "car dealer". We lived across the lake from my parents and between both of my parents cars and the hubby's and mine car my dad was also going over to the car dealer to either get an oil change, or brakes fixed, tires rotated..something. At the time Mark and I were both working so my dad was always nice enough to take our cars into the mechanics as well. Well, needless to say with 4 different cars, he seemed to always be at the auto shop. For the longest time, my oldest son thought it was a car dealer...so that is what he called him. Crazy kid huh? I'm not a grandparent just a parent of three little boys. But my boys call my mom Granny Grunt. And she hates it so bad. can you think being in wal-mart and all you hear is GRANNY GRUNT!!! lol i like BOBO that it too funny. Do you think he will call you Grandma when he is older???

Well, I don't have grandkids yet or that I plan on having any in the near future. Since I am a granddaughter I call mine granny. My kids call my mom granny and grandmom. I believe they call my husbands mom the same thing. My nieces and nephew call my mom granny as well. Now my niece and nephew on my husband's side call my mom in law mimi. I do think its great that your grandson has his own unique name for you. It's his own special name just for you. Hopefully, he will be ok if the new baby decides to use it, or he/she will come up with their own name for you.

Hello Antique lady. Well i for one called my grandmothers, the equivalent of granny in romanian, but the interesting part is that my girlfriend, and people in her family call her grandparents from her mother side : Yoaga and Yogul - this nick names came from the Yogi bear cartoon, if you ever seen it. I'm Grandma to my son's sons, but my daughter's three shortened it a little and call me Gramma. Once, when I signed a birthday card for one of the Walls children in that manner, my husband chided about not even knowing how to spell Grandma.

i have 8 grandkids and 3 step grandkids. my real grandkids all call me grandma. because there are 3 halph mexican and 3 american indian which call there other grand parents by the language name for grandma of which i forgot what that name is. 2 have no other grandparent alive. 2 of my steps call me grandma Bonnie. one thats 4 yrs somehow got it mixed around when he was 2yrs and has called me stefonie and now he still does. its so cute and i like it. guess he got it from the words step and bonnie? it sounds like the singers name. so thats cool.

I don't have grandkids yet Jo but I have already told the girls that "MiMi" has a plan for their children..lol...I am going to spoil them rotten...hehe.
