i have my daily ride on buses and have witnessed few accidents involving buses. i don't think i have a choice since that's the only mode of transportation we have. most people dreaded on riding on buses because of the frequent accidents they do involve with. Is it that buses are somehow less safe than cars or taxis? according to some experts: Most phobias respond extremely well to EFT, especially once you use EFT on specific memories. In this story by Dr. Inci Erkin, we see that the presenting phobia of getting on the bus is NOT the cause. It isn’t about the bus! It is about the feelings of shame from an early experience that involved—only peripherally!—a ride on a bus.how about you?

I think a phobia is made by a very bad experience or a number of terrible experiences. In some countries public transport is usually safe and few accidents happen. However in some countries some of the public transport can have lots of accidents. One time I was traveling on a bus in my local area and one side of the bus had its windows smashed! That was very scary and after it happened I found out it was safety glass. I was on a train when I was a teenager and someone thew things against the windows and they broke.

Yeah worring about something is usually caused by prior bad experiences.Generally people let this past innicent affect their future encounters with a similar event at hand.I think that people should just life day to day and watch out for problems as they come their way.If people just spend all their time worring they are not experiencing life to their fullest.

Hello we have a say here, 'the mother of a kid, who was killed by snake bite, fears a rope on the floor'; it is very true in our daily life, a person who has faced some kind of accident is always afraid, i faced a scooter accident in 1986 that broke my hip bone, i am scared even now..
Thanks for sharing.
Professor. . Cheers

Hi flagella, Even i have faced this situation. I used to travel by a private transport and i saw an accident, from that time i was afraid to travel by any means. As soon as i used to sit in side any vehicle i used to think all the bad thing happening to me, that i would die or can loose any one. But this is not how i should leave my life, with a fear, hence i started thinking positive and now i am out of it.
You also think positive and pray. this is the only thing i can say.

Buses are actualy one of the most save forms of transportation on the planet except for planes. You are far more likely to die in a car crash rather than a bus ride. With plane travel their is only a slim chance of an accident. The odds of dying in a bus crash from a site i found is like 1 in 500 million. You have a better chance of winning the lottery than dying in a bus crash , don't worry about it , worring just causes you problems.

I've rode the bus a lot, but this doesn't often cross my mind. There are just a few incidents that concerned me. I was on the bus once and it blew it's horn and slammed on the brakes, and another time I was walking and saw a girl crossing the street almost get hit by a bus that went through a red light. I think that if I were on a bus and it crashed, that the outcome of the accident would probably be better than if I were in a small car.
