I say they probably would of won more championships if this were the case. Seeing how many championships they did win(3 of them)despite this is an example of their greatness.

Other than they should set their egos aside, Shaq shouldn't have asked for more money to sign back to the Lakers but instead, he opted out because the Lakers organization is not willing to pay him the amount that they demanded. In fact, Shaq has been called a cash cow because of how he asks for money, etc. He and Kobe could have won a couple more championships together if he stayed with the Lakers. Too bad. I guess it wasn't meant to be. Later on, as much as Shaq wouldn't want Kobe to surpass his feat of 4 championships, look at Kobe now.. 1 championship more than Shaq. Go Kobe.

I think they would have won a couple more championships if they stuck it out with each other and set their personal differences aside. Too bad their infighting came at a time when Karl Malone and Gary Payton joined them for a season. But during their last championship year Kobe was on the rise so it would have been more of Shaw who would have been willing to lessen his role.

yeah its that way most of the time but they were so great that they still won 3 championships. i think they would of won at least 4 or 5 if it wasn't for their egos. their first championship year was their best and most winning season if you count the regular season and not just the playoffs. the problem with their egos didn't seem to be as much of a factor their first championship season. i think the lakers won 67 games out of 82 that season(1999-2000).

hi once more my response just flew the coop lol. I think the media played that up more than was really true as I felt they sort of did mend their fences between them. They may have won more titles but I would say they both did very well for themselves and hopefully we will see more of each of them in the years to come.I am a dyed in the wool Lakers fan andhave been for many years so go Lakers.

Hey elmiko! They both might have won more championships, but you have to admit that 3 isn't a bad number! And they sure didn't seem to care because either way they got the recognition, the endorsements, and more than enough money! And they both still are making money and they probably always will! Kobe is still playing and Shaq's show is a hit! I've watched it and he is really cool on it! He tries everything and is serious about and really tries to win no matter what he is doing. You should have seen him racing. He was phenomenal!

They will have more championships. BUT I have to say that if that happens, Kobe may not as popular as now.Because people always say he is won the champion with the help of Shaq.

I totally agree with this, but the sad thing is, you know these two guys, they were never going to do that, and why should anyone have expected them to.

yes very true, i think kobe said he would retire before he would ever be on a team with shaq again.
