What was your most favorite vacation ? Where did you go?

One of my favorite trips was a cheap flight to Cancun in Mexico and then a bus down to Belize and Guatemala. I spent a few fantastic days on laid back Caye Caulker. I did lots of snorkeling and saw nurse sharks plus sting rays. It was magical to be able to climb the Mayan ruins. I stayed in some special places like a tree house and a beach hut with a thatched roof plus a sand floor.

I cannot talk about my favorite vacation. Every place I go has it´s charm. I choose them for different reason depending on the situation. This year I thought I would not have a vacation. I underwent shoulder surgery and had to use some of the money I save for vacations. But where there´s a will there´s a way and I discovered a wonderful vacation program for seniors that our government has in low season. So I went for a week to Arica, the city that is in the frontier with our neighbour country, Perú. For 7 days I escaped from Winter cold and saw beautiful things. THe north of Chile, specially in that part, has many remains of very old cultures. I went to museums, climbed up to the altiplano and basked in the sun near the port.
