Have you ever met a fat vegan?

I have met fat vegans in the past. I thought it was strange since vegans say this is one of the reasons people should stop eating meat. I guess that goes to show you that even strict vegetarians can be obese.

Maybe that person is indeed a vegan but maybe there is something wrong with his metabolism or maybe he has too much adipose tissue in his body. We really cant conclude that once you are a vegan then you cant be fat.

Yeah, I have heard of some people like that. I think it shows that meat isn't the cause of obesity, but more likely grains, unnatural fats, and junk food are.

I actually don't know anyone who is a vegan so I can't be sure. This is a good question though. I do know a lot of vegetarians, and none of them are fat. So yes, not eating meat can help you lose weight. But just because something helps you lose weight doesn't mean it's healthy. People who starve themselves lose weight, but that's not healthy. Not getting any protein isn't healthy, you might stay slim, but not slim and healthy. There are better ways to lose weight while staying healthy.
