I am a 30 year-old woman. Since I built my own small family, I start to face more and more stress in my life. I feel tired of the stress, but I have no choice, because I am responsable to garantee a good future for my family and my children. I want to know how the other women relieve the stress in their life.

Our stresses come from different things and scenarios and experiences... and well i think we do our own personal "touch" as to how we deal with stresses... for me, a good game in facebook helps me get my mind off the things that bothers me...

work out in the gym, play a computer game, swim, sit in the jacuzzi, go to a spa, window shopping, read a good book, meditate, etc.

Just do some exercise. Exercise is the best way to release stress, and then you even feel better than normal, you feel great.

First thing I do is pray. I ask that God give me the patience and courage to keep it together. It's good to know that you have a God who will help you whenever you need it. And that ig you ask Him to work in your life, then trust that He will do so and make things happen at the exact right time. It takes trust in Him and not go ahead of His plans. Then, I let myself believe that everything has an ending. No matter how good or bad something is, sooner of later, it will end. And I will live through it. Then, I try to sort the problems that I have depending on their urgency and what I need to do in order to get them done. For example, if Problem #1 is something that I can forego for now, then I'll forget about it first and focus on Problem #2, which needs to be addressed now. That also helps me sleep better. Because I think that since I can't do anything about a specific problem, then there's no use worrying about it at that moment. I try not to worry constantly about a problem because if I do, it will consume me. Hence, the stress. Sometimes it helps to write down my problems and the things I need to do to address them so that I have a clearer view on how to categorize their importance and urgency. Lastly, I always try to assess if I can ask for help in dealing with some problems. Some problems I really need to solve by myself, but some problems I can delegate to someone else. No sense in carrying it all alone. Sometimes we are too proud to ask for help, but in doing so, we carry on many unnecessary burden. As a result, we get more stressed. So, release these unnecessary stressors and it will lighten your load.

Whenever I'm alone and I get to think of all the difficulties I'm going through individually or as a family, I just pray..and pray harder to be able to distress or calm myself. But when I'm at home (and feeling the stress just the same), I try to do some home chores, like washing dishes or simply arranging entries to our cabinet, in a way, it sort of minimize or lessen my stress..atleast for that very hour when I felt stress the most, huh!.. Thanks God! ;)

We're almost the same age maggiewinner and just like you, I also have a very stressful daily life. But I did not see it in that perspective. Though I must admit it is not easy to be a mother, a wife and a career woman at the same time. What I did? I always entrust to our Lord God all my daily activities, from that knowledge that already lessen the burdens. I always ask Mother Mary's intervention because other than my own mother, I really adore her being a great mom. I always pray that I may have the courage and stregth like her. And it works for me, no matter how difficult the situation is, there will always come a good solution for every undertakings I have.

Prayer gets me through moments as nothing else seems to work. Realizing sometimes that things are out of my control, I take deep breaths and wish it were don.
