My Cat chews loves to chew plastic

I wonder why my cat loves to chew plastic, especially the crunchy one. He's well fed so I don't think it's about hunger. Does your pet do any such weird things?

I have 2 cats in the house and my female LOVES to lick the plastic bags! If there are none for her to get she will go to the waste basket and lick the plastic bag in there! I have never had a cat do this before and thought maybe she was out of water but the bowl is full, so I have no idea why she does it!

I also thought it was a problem on food, so I make sure their bowls are never empty and I alter the flavors every now and then, as I thought my plastic-chewing cat has a selective taste. It did not work, even if he just had a bountiful meal.

maybe it is nervous or frustrated about something. hold it and cuddle to make it feel more secure and happy and comfortable. most pets just want more attention.

Well, I've given both my two cats very good attention, caressing, cuddling, etc but only one turned out to chew on plastic. They too have unique personalities. Thanks for responding.

One of my cat and dog likes to chew any plastic but not the crispy one.
