We all know that Spanish Club Barcelona FC is the best club now in Club Football. My question is that What do you think? How Barcelona reached this position? Does its success depend on Barcelona's home grown players link Xavi, Inesta, Puyol or it is for their excellent choice of foreign footballers like Messi, Eto, Henry etc? What is the secret of their success home grown players or foreign players?

Best club in Cluv Football? Sorry, but its not true :) Well they really have some pretty good players like - Messi, Xavi, Iniesta, Puyol etc. But I think that their surely not the best club in the world. Theres much better clubs - like Manchester United, Chelsea, Ac Milan, Real Madrid(?), Arsenal etc.

I think Barcelona is an excellent example of how academies can build teams. I think they owe their success to the excellent core of home grown players and add to that a spraying of other great players like Messi around them. Remember even Messi was in the academy at a very early age, so in a way he is also a product of the Barcelona academy. Eto'o on the other hand was the product of the Real Madrid academy, so even he had his roots in the Spanish La Liga all through. I do not think Henry has had much effect on the Barcelona performances. Cheers! Ram

ya, barcelona is great tim and have a soliditas as team. i think the success is not only depends on home grown player but combined as spain player, non spain player, a young player and experienced player and off course coach factor is too important in my opinion

I think Barcelona has become one of the best clubs in the world because of their style of playing and because of the quality players that he has. They have a passing style that makes opponents dizzy, but if a team can run a lot to destroy their passing, then they will loose. If you want to play against them, you have no chance, so you have to defend very well against them. Their home grown players are raised in a special spirit, they learn this passing style from a very young age. Messi is a foreign player, but was raised by Barcelona, so he can be considered a homegrown player. Back to your question, I think they are lucky that they have a great youth academy and that the laws are not so severe than in Germany or France, where you are not allowed to spend more than you produce. So they can make huge loans without cover, and buy expensive players like Villa, Dani ALves or Ibrahimovic. Of course, they train very well and have a "Barcelonical" style of playing.

first,I want to correct a mistake that Messi is not only a foreign football player, but a Barcelona grown player. It is different between Messi and Eto'o,Henry etc. then I think Guardiola is the most important person of all Barca. He is clear and always keep a clear head.He knows all characteristics of every player and knows how to use them. another, they insist on their style, just like Spain football team, many people criticise that they have no passion, but they can control the match and the rival.Barca also has this ability.the rival can not know what they should do and how to do.This is also a key. lastly, maybe it is because of my support,haha...
