How to keep track of your internet passwords?

I am sure that on the average, active online users would have at least 3 email addresses from different providers, we would also have about memberships in some, if not all of the social network sites, we would also have access to forums such as mylot, and would have some other username and passwords required in some places in the internet...
so with all the different usernames we might use to sign up on a site for, and for all the different password requirements we may need to change our passwords for a particular site... how do you not lose these information?
do you keep it in a diary - hand written? or in your cellphone??
how do you keep track of your usernames and password?

I use Roboform and this is a very popular tool to use and I highly recommend it. I initially started using the free version and this allows you to store a certain amount of passwords but I quickly realised I had to pay for the full version and this allows you to store unlimited passwords. It's safe and secure and so convenient.
I must have literally a hundred different passwords for different sites that I visit and it would be virtually impossible to remember them all. If you would like to have a look at the website then here it is: www.roboform.com Perhaps you can start initially with the free version yourself just to try it out and test it as it were. Good luck. I keep the passwords in my mind and I keep using my email IDs and therefore, I do not forget my passwords easily.

My niece simply wrote her passwords in a sheet of paper and posted it on the computer table.

You can download a programs that will securely store your password information. I used to have one, but I had to reformat my computer and it got lost. Anyhow, it's very useful because you now only have to use one password (to get to the program) and you can already forget the rest.

I have setup a text document with all the sites, usernames and passwords. This worked ok then I used a database which I sorted in alphabetical order.
I have since found a little program RoboForm which saves all your passwords and auto fills form for you. All you have to remember is the password for RoboForms. This is a great time saver especially the auto fill forms section. I used the trail version for awhile then downloaded the full version.

Usually I write it in a small piece of paper and i put it inside a small case---a case that used to store my SD card. Some people usually save the trouble of remembering the passwords and writing them down, simply by using the same passwords over and over again. That could result in trouble, I think you know. This could lead to vulnerabilities and hackers could use that to exploit your system.

I think I am poor at this!
I have one password to most of my email accounts, which is about 9 or 10. I've tried changing it for security reasons, but my last change was over three years ago, and it was from one common password to another common password. This way I don't have to keep track of it.

Yes, i do keep a record of my password. There are too many passwords we use for different sites and for me, some of the sites where i visit less seems to be alot difficult to remember. Therefore i keep a copy of those passwords in certain place. However, do remember not to leak it out to others as somebody with ill intention may have ways to get it and your privacy might be at stake. :D

I keep track of my username and password by using the same username and password in almost all sites. By then, it would be really easy for me to remember all those usernames and passwords. I keep it that way because i have really poor memory on passwords. I keep on forgetting them, and i learned a valuable lesson about these passwords. When i was still in school, i had this project and put a password on it in the folder. I forgot the password and had to redo all the project. I really felt bad about that, so I had to have same usernames and passwords or email address on sites.

that is right, i do have personal email, my work email and a lot of other sites where i do have my membership as well and they also require passwords. i have 2 passwords and they are passwords i could easily remember but not by anybody. it wouldn't be safe if you keep it in a diary, anyone can find that and use it against you.

I do have a book in my desk drawer with all names and addresses of everyone I send mail to and their phone numbers.....those are in the front of the book...in the back are all my usernames and passwords. My one daughter knows where all of it is so if something happens to me they can access all my info.

i have a few email id's but i have the same passwords for all. The passwords i use for the prequalifications of my company with the clients, i write them down on the diary. I do try to maintain the same passwords, but it does change as per the clients requirements.

I put the same username and passworld in all sites that i register. If there are the specific requirment for the pass world or a user name i have a second username and passworld that coverage requirements. But you know that in some sites have a very very specific requirment(without numbers or punctuation marks), then i just save my all mails that sites sent me when i register and if i don't know my username or pass i go to my mail write name of the site and look the pass :)
