When I feel down, I always watch a film to inspire myself. But since I have the computer, I seem to have become addicted to it. I think I have spent too much time on the computer to watch films.I very miss the time when I can concentrate myself on my study regardless of other things. How should I use the Internet correctly? I am so troubled.

You should set your priorities first.Sort out what's important, is it your studies or doing something in your computer? Set a schedule on things to be done. It's really all about time management.

I have the same problem as you. Not just with films. With films and other stuff on the internet-email etc. I don't know what to tell you. One thing that has occurred to me is to get rid of the internet at home, and only use the internet in the library. And to only use it in the library when i really need to-like when i need to look up some information.

Thank you for your suggestion. I will try to keep away from the Internet. I will try to spend more time in the library, and go back to my room a little later, so that I have no enough time to watch a film.

Actually, i didn't mean that you should go to the library every day to use the internet. If you do that, chances are, you'll spend way too much time at the library. The only thing you will gain that way, is that instead of wasting time on the computer at home, you'll waste time in the library. True, at least once you get home, you won't have the computer, but still you could waste a lot of time in the library.
The problem with the internet, is that it could easily become a distraction from life. Instead of living our real life, we have our head stuck in a computer screen, living in cyber-space.
What i meant, is that you should consider cancelling your internet service at home. Get involved in real life. Find productive activities to do. Go out and get sun and fresh air. Spend time with your family and friends. And ONLY go to the library to use the internet, when you really need, like to look up some important information, that would be hard to get without the internet.
Sure, once you're in the library for some legitimate need, you will end up goofing around on the net. But the above suggestion will limit it as much as possible, as long as you're honest with yourself about when you really need the internet.

Internet is not for hating. It is very useful and beneficial for different purposes. It just depends on how you use it. Yes, people get addicted to the internet in different ways, and that of course has to be kept controlled. Internet has become the information highway, carrying and offering loads of information useful for many purposes. As a student too, you can find lots of information beneficial to your studies. So, take internet as someone who can help you, not as someone yo have to hate !
Best wishes to you !

After you set your priority, try to go out from your room and make outdoor activities. You can go to the public library (books, not digital materials), hang out with friends, or do sports. That way you will find many variations, and you won't stuck with internet and computer.
But actually internet and computer can be a good combo if you know how to take advantage from it.

That's a good idea! Life is all about choice. There are so many choices in my life, so I shouldn't choose the Internet only. Going out to see may be a better choice. Thank you!

Just enjoy the internet perhaps limit yourself to a particular hours a day and maybe only allow yourself to go on only when you've done something productive and done some work that needs to be finished then you can reward yourself that's what I try to do...
I think internet addiction is just going to keep on growing as we are just using them more and it's probably the best thing that ever happened to us in terms of communication technology. I just love the internet so much I'm not sure if I care to be honest... But I try to be productive in life and not let it get in the way. I try :P

Try to be productive in life and reward yourself. You are so rational about the Internet. I will try to do what you said. Thank you for your advice!

They keys are self-control, willpower, setting priorities! You have to be tough with yourself. There are things that cannot be neglected, like your studies. The internet is a good tool but a terrible master. You must use it and not let it rule your life. You only have so much time, you can't waste it all.
