Do you take down notes during teacher's discussion?

I am not really a fast learner who could easily understand and remember the teacher's discussion just by purely listening to her. To cope up from this weakness of mine, I really take time to jot down notes and review the lesson at home. Whenever I fail to take notes, I feel anxious whenever a quiz will be conducted because I'm used of reviewing my own notes to prepare myself for the quiz. I salute some of my classmates who don't take notes but are able to get high scores. How about you?

Well, it's been like 3 years since I graduated and I'm very happy I don't need to sit in class anymore.
I NEVER wrote what my teacher told us to write, and neither did I write notes during the class. I just SLEPT.
If I had to study for a test, I took the notes my friends made or went online to read about the test's subjects.
Hope I helped. d:

Yes, I always take the important things and I always review what I learned in in class. In addition, I read the book carefully and highlight the main ideas of the topic. Read the book before come to class, and review it in the weekend, so my grade is quite high. I think if you spend more time in your study, you can get very very high mark in all subject, wish you can get the achive you goal in your study.

That is the real smart that they don't have to take down notes but they could still get high scores in test. In my case I am taking down notes as well. If I could be able to buy a cellphone with recorder when I was in college then I could have been recorded all the discussion of the professor so that if ever I will review it I will just listen to all his/her teachings or lessons.

Hi iamdee, I'm a sluggish learner as well. I couldn't remember all the info and explanation given by my teachers in the classroom. I need to jot down the main points of them to keep as further reference when doing revision after class. I would be handicapped if without such important notes to refer. Therefore the most essential stuffs in my school bag are note book and pen or pencil.
I would mark the important phrases and sentences on my textbook at the same time with highlighted pens. This would save my time as I don't have to waste time reading the whole chapter of the text book when having revision. that's why all my textbooks look indecent with so many different color marking and brief explanation on them.
Happy posting and have a nice day

During my college days. I always take down notes to be sure that I can't forget on what the instructor or professors discussing with.
Because sometimes when I go home I forget the topics and not remember on how to arrive the answers..hehe
It is suggested to every student to take down note as a reference reviewer after classes...
Have a great day!

I am also used to take note during lecture sessions. I always helps for future study or references. It keeps everything in memory. It is a good practice to take notes while listening. I used to stress the importance of taking notes. Those students who are not taking class notes may get high score but it will not help for their future study or references.

Studying in advance is a great way to go. Read on the topics about to be discussed and make your own notes. Then listen to the discussion to confirm, add to, or correct your understanding of, what you have read. That way, you will not get tired of writing so fast to catch everything your teacher says. You'll also get to participate, ask questions and understand the lesson better. As an added bonus, you'll get to know from the voice and stresses of your teacher which parts of the lesson are important and might be asked in the exam. =)

Sometimes I take down notes if my professor will not give a soft copy. But most of the time I didn't take down notes I prefer to ask to our professor to give me a soft copy or ask them to photo copy the books, because all of the discussions is in the textbooks.

I am also a slow learner. But during the lecture i note some points of this discussion. So that in home when I study this topic then those points help me to understand the fact which was discussed by the faculty in the class room.I think that If a student wants to wright his own note for the exam so the first thing is to do that he or she have to understand the topic clearly then he or she can make a appropriate note on the topic.here the fut note of the topic given by the teacher helps much.

In my case, I only scribble the important topics then study and modify them after class so I won't forget what my teachers have discussed.
