Talkative drivers and conductors while driving the Bus.

I don't mind a bus driver making friendly conversation at the stops. People often ask them questions while they are driving. I think its okay to have short answers. What I completely disagree with is taxi drivers and bus drivers talking on their cell phones while driving. Its very dangerous... and its just rude. We have banned talking on cell phones while driving in our area. I hope this cuts down on this bad habit.

I fully realize the situation.I have also come across many drivers talking either with conductors or passengers.Once I seriously objected to such conversation not because they were bad but because of my anxiety about safe travel.Do you know the answer I got.It was a night travel.The driver said that he should be wakeful throughout night and if he concentrated only on driving he would doze and hit another bus or lorry or a tree. To be wakeful he keeps himself engaged in talking.For once I was convinced with this reasoning. But during day time ,atleast, they can avoid talking.Who can tell them and we have freedom of speech guaranteed by our constitution.Then only alternative I found was to pray God for safe travel to reach the destination.
