I live in U.S. & 3G has been doing pretty good. I have blackberry 9700 which is 3G capable. I do depend on my phone a lot for my work so it's a good thing.

I live in the Philippines. There are only selected cities where 3G is available. In my city, it's available but the signal and speed is not reliable. Only in the capital city do you get good speed.

First of all, I live in Slovakia. I own a 3G-enabled phone and I use it mainly for browsing the internet on my phone. It's a bit faster than EDGE that I used before, and a whole lot faster than dial-up that I used ages ago. As for video calls, I've never tried, mainly because I don't see the point in it. Like, do you really need to see the other person's face? What for? Back to 3G, I generally am satisfied with it. What I like is that for 6€ a month I get unlimited data transfers, and I really am using that feature. If you have the chance to get an unlimited data plan, go for it, it's unbeatable.
