From the AM radio, and from online advertisements, I constantly see these ads about helping people scan their PC for virus infection, and they would recommend their software to people who has slow PCs to buy these software to eliminate any virus attacks. I just a bit of skeptical of these ads, and I think majority of them are simply scams.
I heard people said once they go to their websites, and use their tools to scan the system, they normally found over thousands of errors. They would recommend the people to buy their software, usually around $40, or sometimes they would want you to get 2 of them with different versions. Sometimes, I doubted that they might infected your system with those malware once you use their scanning tools. So, watch out for such ads, and do not believe any of them.

You should use one antivirus program updated and one anti spyware program also. May be best antivirus free is Antivir, and best free antispyware is spy sweeper. If your computer is power enough, you can run all of this as an experiment. As a computer technician, I think you will find the best choice after testing 2 program. Good luck
