Who is your favorite book and novel author?

Just like artist and celebrity, book readers also fall in love with their favorite authors.
As for me, I love Dale Carnegie's works (motivational books), and a bunch of epic novel authors (JRR Tolkien, Tracy Hickman, Margaret Weis, and Brandon Sanderson). I also admire all Star Wars novel authors (I cannot mention all of them, it's too much!).
So, how about you? Who is your champion?

For me since I am a Filipino I will choose Jose Rizal and his novels Noli Me Tangere and El Filibusterismo. I really love those novels, not just cos the author is our hero but the topics that the 2 novels is about. I felt that the novel is actually happening right now and still happening not just in our country but also in other country/ies.

I distingish between two types of literature. The one that tells us you how life and people should be. So in your list that would be Dale Carnegie and all other authors that deal with personal development, spirituality, etc. My absolute favorite is M. Scott Peck, M.D. I highly recommend him, he does a very good symbiosis between mental growth and spiritual growths. In fact, in his first book “The Road Less Traveled” he states explicitly that he doesn’t distinguish between the two.
The second type are good novels, and there my favorites are Stephen King, John Irving and Nelson DeMille. A good novel is not judgemental, it just describes in an entertaining way how life is.

My Favorite Novelist is DAN BROWN...and My favorite Novel is DA VINCI CODE...Actually there are now five books that Dan Brown has written... three of which make up the Da Vinci Code series...and I like all of them...

I love Sidney Sheldon, His novels Tell Me your Dreams and Naked Face were one of my favorites...,J.K. Rowling for Harry Potter and Stehanie Meyer for her Twilight Saga.., I love medical thrillers too written by Dr. Robin Cook.., =)

I like the novels of Mitch Albom (Tuesdays with Morrie and Five People You Meet in Heaven), Nicholas Parks (A Walk to Remember and The Notebook), Paulo Coelho (The Alchemist and Eleven Minutes), Gabriel Garcia Marquez (Love in the Time of Cholera and 100 Years of Solitude), and the Princess Diary novel series of Meg Cabot.

Hi,
I am not a bookworm and I never read any English novels.
I did try to read...but after reading few pages,my eyes started
to close and feel sleepy.
When I was young,I did read those Bahasa Indonesia novel and I
love those storyline.
Most of the time, I will read magazine,but not really those
fiction books and novels.
