What do you usually do on your day off?

Me? I just stay home, cook a special meal for my husband and son, watch DVD with them while munching chips and cookies, and sometimes have a bottle of beer or a glass of wine with my hubby before going to bed.

I am always free during weekends. But, I rarely stay home. On Saturdays, I meet my "caring group". We pray together, eat, share our experiences during the previous week and simply learn from each other's lives. On Sundays, I go to "The Feast", it's a weekly gathering of people who share the same faith and love for GOd's word and Jesus' teachings. It includes a eucharistic celebration and a very powerful talk about life (it is a source of spiritual nourishment). It takes two hours. After this, I go home and rest, read a good book and write in my journal. I do household chores in between. :)

My work days get pretty long throughout the week. By the time I get back home, it would be close to 10 o'clock. I feel so tired and exhausted. So, when the day off finally comes, I would just relax and get refreshed. I would sleep long hours then. And, here is my favorite, I would listen to the collection of music CDs I have. Classical music especially. That helps me get rid off all the stresses of the week.

If I don't have a work I stay here in our house and surfing in the net. Sometimes we go to mall with my friends or my family.

Well it seems like I am still doing something on my day off most of the times. Trust me, there is always something to do around the house. True days off are few and far between. A day off to me is in the loosest sense of the world. It just means that I do not have to head off to work or school, but there is still a lot of work to be done. There is never a dull moment, which can be a good thing many times, but it can in fact be a bad thing.
However, if I can relax, I will. There are a few times where I can sit back and relax. Maybe I'll sit in the backyard if it is nice and read the book. There are a lot of nice things that can be done. Therefore, read a book, put on some music, and enjoy a rare day off. Because they are rather few and far between all things considered, so I have to enjoy the free time when I can.

I usually do a lot of stuff around the house. Work on the computer and write my blog.
I try to not spend the whole day running errands and doing chores, but that happens a lot.
Sometimes I would love to have a nap, but am to busy usually to do that.
